New Construction Lawn
Posted by Chevyboy95 on 2/15/22 at 9:31 am
Looking for a recommendation for a grass type for my new construction. Sod is out of the question because 20+ pallets would be needed. Was looking at Zenith Zoysia. Location is Thibodaux La.

It was actually bricked, shingle roof was on, no fascia/ soffit. Mainly concerned about the roof, just upon looking in the attic from ground level in the patio (still open for T&G pine) I noticed the decking is all OSB except for 4 random sheets that are plywood. Builder is not very transparent when asked questions... Just was thinking it was worth getting a home inspector for 5-600$ on a 300+k home

Buying a home that was in the building process when Ida hit. Looking for a recommendation for a thorough home inspector in the Houma/Thibodaux area. Also any recommendations on what I can look for on my own. Thanks

Property is 7.5ft above sea level, in a flood zone AE so base elevation is 10 ft, not really a fan of a traditional slab house on a 3 ft mound of dirt, and I’ve been told if you go an extra foot above base elevation it drops your flood insurance premium drastically. There’s a handful of houses being built like this around this area.

So a raised house on cinders but on a slab instead of bare ground.

Looking to build a 2000-2200 sqft pier and beam style home on a slab. Looking for recs on a builder in Houma/Thibodaux area and also any tips, what you wish you would have done different.
