re: Ban bet w/ theCAW

theCAW makes me laugh. He can stay
Most of these recommendations are pretty good.

I'd add The Standard if you have kids with you or a large party in general. Food is pretty good, tons of tvs, and lots of beers to choose from.

The Mont is also a Norman staple, but that's mostly for their drinks, their food is not what I would recommend.

Volare on campus corner has good pizza. If you sit on the rooftop, you get a great view of campus corner and the stadium.

If you get into town well before 6 you can also try Midway Deli. It's a sandwich place just a little north of campus in the heart of a neighborhood. Barry Switzer frequents there depending on the time of day.
Wouldn't really consider joining the conference 12 years after these teams to be "following," but I'll bite:

1. Post-NIL and House Settlement, maximum revenue is crucial for continued success. Big 12 through media rights and viewership was not bringing home the bacon.
2. The quality of opponents in the Big 12 was significantly diluted. OU would run through their conference schedule and then get blown out of the playoff. If you want to win the title, you need experience playing high-quality opponents.
3. Nearly every recruit in the south/midwest wants to play in the SEC. Playing an SEC schedule gives OU a significant recruiting advantage.
4. Game environment substantially diminished the more OU stayed in the Big 12. Hard to get fans fired up to play Iowa State, Kansas, or West Virginia at 11AM.

Ultimately, it is very simple: if you want to beat the best, you gotta play with the best.
Mateer injury aside, tx came to play that day. Often times, the team that wins the RRS is the team that wakes up and wants it more. tx (sadly) seemed like they wanted it more that day.
Any resourceful baws on here with the link to the court filing?

It's a great thing that we will be able to settle this in Norman next fall.

Uh, a college grad communicating with other college grads ?? Sorry it went over your head.

Ok whose alter? Literally no college grad talks like this, aside from the blue-haired soy boys up north. Certainly not one who got their degree from a school in Lubbock, Texas

We didn't come here shooting off our mouths like a lot of OU and Texas guys did

Please enlighten us all to the OU posters who came in "shooting off our mouths."

One of Oklahoma's wins has an asterisk. Consider revising.

It must be a miserable and exhausting experience being a barner. Kudos to Bama for putting up with your whining and excuses for as long as they have.
The “expectation” at Oklahoma is to win it every year. The reality may differ from the expectation. But the expectation from the fans is to win every year.

It sure beats your fanbase being unpleasant no matter the platform.

What an ugly stadium.

Because your landfill arse stadium is truly a gem to behold...

I kinda think you do because you and I both know you would trade OU's defense for OSU's 100 times out of 100

Come talk shite when you actually beat Michigan.

Funny how delusional and confident you are despite your failures thus far.

MizzOU's first year in the SEC yielded only 2 conference wins over 0-8 Kentucky and 1-7 Tennessee with a notable loss to Vanderbilt at HOME.
If TBOW couldn’t field a competent defense at Oklahoma, there is no way he can ever get to the championship. The 2017 team was his best and they still won multiple games against no nonranked opponents by one score.
Another day, another OU thread started by a mizzOU fan.

Nothing that he said was inaccurate. "Oklahoma" dominated the "old big 12 days" objectively, something many on this site have pointed out consistently. Many of those Oklahoma teams that dominated were under BV's tenure as DC during his first stint here. Most notably, going 7-2 in Big 12 play to 2-6 in SEC play the following year really just proves the point.

Texas has been very fortunate with these breaks

While this may be true… this is Oklahoma and it is perfectly valid to think not scoring a touchdown 3/4 matchups is unacceptable. It’s really time to stop with the excuses but it hasn’t done us any good but prolong this dumpster fire of an era.
Ye of so little faith...

Yet here you are... commenting on a thread about both teams.
