Maybe he should have beaten a winless Rice team in HIS OWN STADIUM

first of all i agree a change needed to be made, but this team was killed by injuries. the rice game in particular had usm starting their 3rd or 4th string qb. even a team as deep as lsu isn't going to win a lot of games in that situation.

Jeff Bower's wallet will love the fact he got fired from USM. He was making 350k/year which is less than both coordinators at LSU

tough to give your coach a raise when a) he doesn't do anything to deserve it (i.e. recent conf. championship, etc) and b) as stated above, attendance was lacking, which means less gameday revenue, less booster money, and therefore no money to pay your coach more.

i was born and raised next door to some of the biggest boosters usm has. both of them, as well as their son who is now an associate ad at a small school in the pacific nw, agreed that although it was a difficult decision, it had to be done.

No offense but it has got to be the most one-sided contract in all of college football. Sexton really worked Bama on this one.

i don't even disagree with you, but that wasn't my point. its just funny that it took all of two posts into a thread about miles' contract for it to get to saban.

Sounds better than the contract Alabama has with Saban
