Agree TOTALLY. The noise has to be loud once the huddle forms. If the opponent cant hear the snap count or play called, the check-off at the line is irrelevant.
Whatever you do let the roast soak in ice water (in a ice chest) for at least 2 days. This will eliminate the gameiness from the meat. Then cook as you want.
Microwave some spicy headcheese in a bowl then sop it up with french bread and eat. Great with ice- cold beer during a game.
