Finally talked to Randy. They are getting settled at Airforce Base now. They are exhausted, but relieved, and ready to wait out their 3-day quarantine.
**THE COUSIN MADE IT BACK HOME SAFE TO YICHANG WITH NO ISSUES**

just to clarify...the add'l $$ beyond the $4400 is to help them cover expenses during their 11-13 (?) day quarantine, as well as flights from Ontario, California back to Rhode Island. Donations or well-wishes are equally welcomed! He was asked not to discuss flight details..so we really don't know which flight he is/was on. I last talked to him at 9:30 this morning, and they were checking in baggage, but they had not gone thru customs and the flight had not yet arrived. He has not responded since the last message at 9:30.

yes, $1100 each. they have to sign a promisory note prior to leaving wuhan. the shitty thing is they wont get $$ back on the original flights they had booked for friday that are cancelled. but you cant really put a price on your family's well being. if they said $11,000 a piece, we would find a way to make it work

the only way i/we can relate to his situation is maybe just after katrina or 2016 flood. that apocolytpic feeling, except he is not at home with family. he has to have a balance of patience and persistence to see this thru.

last update i got from my mom, an hour or so ago, is that the diplo plane was delayed. they had to turn around and go back to yichang, as it was too dangerous to hang around and wait 12-16 hrs in wuhan at airport. they are sleeping now and will have a better idea of itinerary when they wake up
