Sorry - tried to do it last night but forum was locked!
Landed 5.51pm and was in my Uber at 6.07pm. Had a very amusing conversation with the whole border control team who were at first surprised I was travelling without luggage but then massively supportive of this insane trip.
Uber was cruising down I-10 but then the whole thing came to a stop by Williams for about 15 minutes as the whole interstate was shut down. I was freaking out. We were stuck just a few cars back from the motorcade. Eventually it got moving and we followed it the whole way to the Superdome.
Went straight through security. The secret service agent had a good look at a pack of mints I was carrying (Trebor) which I guess you don’t get here, but it only took a minute.
Walked into the stadium at 6.52pm (looking at the video I took) and got to watch the LSU Marching Band just a couple of minutes later from directly behind the Clemson goal. 10 minutes later I was i my seat with a beer.
What an amazing game - the most phenomenal sporting experience I have ever had.
Plan on enjoying New Orleans today until my flight back to the UK this evening.

I love LSU. My family loves LSU. Unfortunately this was the only flight I could take to get to the game. Here’s hoping it all pans out.

I’m meeting my brother-in-law (lives in BR) at the stadium. At Christmas I left a bag with him at Christmas with a change of clothes, toothbrush etc. which will be at our hotel. Expecting to get some questions from Border Control as will look a bit wired arriving with nothing!
Sadly wasn’t able to make a Sunday flight so this is the best I could do. Huge LSU fan so happy to take the risk.

Yes - I think 4 or 5 days per week there is a direct flight from Heathrow. Total game changer if you like to travel between the two cities! You should try it.

I flew in 2 weeks ago and customs only took 5 mins. Hoping it’s the same this time as not many international flights land then.
Plan to get Uber to take me a back route, probably via Earhart expressway and get dropped of within a mile of the Dome.

Arriving at New Orleans airport 65 minutes before kick-off. Would normally expect to make it downtown within an hour but concerned about the added Trump security!
