re: What's fricking ridiculous about this Ridley situation
Posted by kingmotor on 12/24/10 at 3:37 am to benhamin5555
Time for the NCAA to go away. People like cam newton and the Ohio state group can just play dumb and act like they don't know the rules and get off Scott free while Ridley and lsu can commit a lesser violation and be honest about it and get the hammer. The message: lie
he definitely opened up the eyes of a lot of GM's out there, forcing them to consider aquiring him rather than draft a QB.
Raffle off a ring and donate all proceeds to the rebuilding of the 9th ward. That would be great press.
Peyton mannings only advantage

Is that he has played in the super bowl once before. If you look at the stats for this season, the saints have had a better total offense, better passing offense, and a better running game. And reciever-wise, the saints have meachum, Henderson, Moore, colston, shockey, bush. The only colts names I've heard are garçon, Wayne, collie, and Clark. I know addai can catch a ball but he hardly ever does.
Second chance for Jamarcus Russell?

With the raiders hiring Hugh Jackson as OC and reportedly assigning him to work with jamarcus, is there still a chance he can become a successful NFL qb?
Hopefully he spends the summer in the film room, works on drills, comes into camp in good shape and we see a renewed JR next season.

re: why wasn't Saints game on BR radio?

Ummmmm. WWL is 100,000 watts and possibly the strongest am station in the entire south. We can pick it up here in Atlanta.
I work in a building that blocks most of the am signal. 100.7 came in loud and clear on my radio. 870 and 1150 you couldn't hear at all. Last week the game was on 98.1 I figured the game would be on one of those stations. But after much searching I found an iPhone app and I listened on some station out of Baltimore.

I was pissed cuz I was at work and my little pocket radio wouldn't pick up any am stations for shite. The most important game of the year they move the game to the weaker station. :banghead:
I didn't see the pull of the jersey. But it didn't matter if he held him after the ball was in the air. The call was holding, not pass interference. And after the initial jam, the majority of contact was by the offensive player, not gay.
I agree. I got off work at 10, went to the party at walkons, came home excited to see sportscenter and NFL primetime, but it just turned out to be a buzzkill. Every single ounce of analysis was all about how the Vikings lost the game, no mention of the fact that the saints won the game by forcing 5 turnovers, scoring points, harassing favre, and nailing the clutch field goal to EARN that victory. Is there anywhere to go to get actual, real analysis?

Just about every flag thrown against the saints was either a bad call or borderline. One play in particular, the holding call against blue gay, he completely legally jammed the reciever and the reciever fought back after that. Should have been offensive holding if anything. National radio broadcast made it seem like gay was riding him the entire time.
My fave saints unis:
1. black/black
2. black/gold
3. white/gold
they're all one of the best unis in the NFL.

I wonder if we were blowing someone out in the super bowl and deuce was still inactive and we put him in towards the end of the game, would that automatically forfeit the game

As they say in baseball, momentum is only as good as the next game's starter.
I like the new geico commercials. Is Ed "too tall" jones...too tall?

There is no more pressure coaching at Florida than any other top sec team,
Yeah that's 100% correct... But that is a hell of alot of pressure. If you're trying to say that being the head coach of ANY SEC team isn't stressful you're full of crap.
did you read what I said? Of course being the head coach at Florida is DAMN stressful. The point is you don't see any other sec coaches retiring and unretiring, and turning their program into a circus because of stress. But stressfulness of the job is way overblown tho. There are Thousands if not millions of single parents across this country who work 7 days a week 365 days a year just to put their kids thru school or put food on the table or keep the lights on. And you got some millionaire scumbag who at least gets a week or so off In the offseason and other days scattered around the year to sit in his mansion and watch tv on his 83 inch hdtv or fly to Barbados for a few days if he wishes and HIS job is too stressful? I'm sorry but I call bullshite.
The spelling "sike" is correct in this context. And urban meyer is an egotistical arse clown that has turned the Florida program into a freakin circus. He rode the tebow train for 4 years now we get to see what kind of coach he really is. Welcome back urb!

Meyers credibility is lower than it has been since he's been a head coach. He puts out a press release that hints that he has some serious illness then it turns out he's just stressed out. Are you kidding me? stressed out? There is no more pressure coaching at Florida than any other top sec team, barring any self-imposed stress which seams to be meyers deal. You don't see Nick saban having any problems handling the pressure at bama or when he was with lsu.
He's gonna see where tebow goes and sit out a year or 2 until they get an opening then go there.
