Obama was droning US citizens that lived abroad without due process. Trump droned the leader of a terrorist group. One is tough, the other is illegal.
3 things. 1). The Trump foundation was funded almost exclusively by trump. So any tax advantage he gained from it would have been because he funded it. So, at most, any monies spent would have been from him. So if he bought a picture of himself for 200k. That 200k would have been donated from him.
2) a private foundation, like trumps would have limited his deduction to 30% of his AGI. Meaning Trump could only deduct up to 30% if his AGI.
3). From what I understand. The trump foundation got pinged for what they called “commingling” his foundation funds with election funds.
So...it’s a whole lot of nothing.
