Was it more of his dad's money from the family development business? Or more money that he made from sleazy bribes, like offering people kickbacks once he gets elected in exchange for campaign donations? Like my dad said last night, they're all corrupt politicians and we need to get rid of them!

He bought this election, plain and simple. I'm sick of money corrupting our democracy. We could've defeated Edwards and the trial lawyer lobby and gotten so many good conservatives into office if it weren't for the millionaires and billionaires spending all their money on stupid ads, yard signs and mailers.

Please forward all complaints to your new Senator, Patrick McMath, 985-778-3521.
The whole point of the jungle primary is to help Democrats win. It has the same effect in California often, only the reverse, helping Republicans win in solidly blue territory. Will our legislators ever grow the balls to get rid of it? Doubtful.

We need an outsider with private sector experience. Not an establishment politician who is bought by the trial lawyer lobby and can't motivate the base. Rispone was a good candidate. Someone who can build on his strengths.

Rispone wasn't a "shitty candidate." He ran against a popular incumbent. It's shocking the race was this close. He did a good job. We don't need to turn to an establishment politician to win back the governor's chair. We need to keep doing what we've been doing. Nominating outsiders from the private sector who are in touch with the people.
All right. The next four years are about fighting Edwards at every turn and recruiting a good candidate to win back the governor's chair in 2023. Let's focus and get to work!
Yeah I don't think there was a lot of turnout. I was dealing with depression myself and couldn't attend. Right now I'm working on starting a talk show where people can air their grievances and we can talk about local issues and I'll invite both candidates on. It'll probably premiere next week. Plain Talkin' with Daniel Ducote. I'm leaning towards Falconer, though.
Aww, thank you so much, beachtiger. That really means a lot to me. I'm taking a break from running for office for a while after this election is over, but I'll stay active in the community and keep fighting for the stuff I care about. Love you.

Tiger Prawn, I'll try to bring it up. Depends on how many people show up and how many issues we have to discuss. I just want an opportunity for everyone to talk about what they're concerned about. We didn't have a lot of opportunities to discuss the issues this year. It's all just been personalities. This would be a good opportunity for people to bring up the things that they talk about at the kitchen table to their politicians. All the local councilmen and women should also show up.
All the Louisiana State Senate District 11 candidates have been invited. I'll be there. Patrick McMath will be there. We're going to discuss the election and any other concerns you have. Let's make it a big community event. Tell everyone you know to show up! We'll also be promoting Rispone for governor!
So Edwards will be gone in January. That's good. What's Rispone gonna do for us in office? Will he fix healthcare by lowering premiums and deductibles?
Obamacare repeal. Thanks, Rand Paul and John McCain.
Hi, folks. I've been seeing a lot of people challenging the results of their elections as "fake" and blaming the money their opponents spent on their losses. I think we should give voters a little more respect and confidence. They don't fall for yard signs and television ads. They do their own homework. I explain in this piece why I think these elections were won based on the ideas and partisanship, rather than money. If you care to read, it's not too long.

re: Who Should I Endorse?

As far as real life experience goes, I will add that I've walked the streets of Baton Rouge for four years, keeping them safe for little children. I would go out every night when I was away at college and patrol the streets, armed with non-range weapons, looking for crime. I was a vigilante. I've seen things that would scare all of you. I've battled folks. I've saved folks. I've gotten involved in it all. It's changed me. If y'all had seen what I've seen out there, and lived the way I had to, and do the things I had to do to survive on those streets, you'd understand my worldview. So I do have quite a bit of real world experience. But anyway, it's irrelevant since we're not even talking about my campaign now. I respect your differences of opinion all the same.

It's all about who I should endorse in the runoff. But I'll be making up my mind some time this week after meeting with the two folks.

Thank you all for sharing your opinions. Even the folks that didn't vote for me, I appreciate you taking the time to make a decision and I respect that you determined the best option would be someone else. I'm not endorsing anyone right now. I might not endorse anyone at all. I set up meetings with both men Thursday and we'll see how it goes. I just don't want to sell out to the establishment and I want to see if we can secure some policy demands first.

Falconer and McMath sure think it matters, as they've both reached out to me to ask for an endorsement.

It's really up to the voters to decide. Most of my supporters are independent thinkers and will decide one way or another on their own. I might endorse. I'll see how I feel after meeting with them Thursday.

Believe me, I was being very serious. 98% of the people here understood exactly what I was talking about. EDIT: Holy shite, man. You're in my district and I still didn't even know who in the hell you were. At 12.43%, I don't know if either candidate wants an endorsement!

Listen kid, I know everyone is dunking on you right now. Truth be told nobody is going to take someone who just graduated college and decided to run for office without any real life experience seriously. Instead of worrying about who to endorse, why not focus that energy to do something entrepreneurial, learn a skill, or something. I doubt the other two candidates in the runoff could care any less about your endorsement. Not being rude, just stating a hard truth here. Good luck in your future endeavors.

I offered a serious policy platform that could've fixed our state. I've spent the past ten years studying this stuff and this is what I think would be best for our state. That's why I think people took me seriously.

Let's keep the discussion about who to vote for in the runoff - Falconer or McMath.

Yeah. What does that have to do with deciding who to endorse?

Whatever. You're free to disagree with my ideas but I don't understand why anyone would care that I'm gay. It doesn't affect my political views on life, gun control and criminal justice. I'd like to debate the issues with y'all because I think that the budget plan would ultimately lower everyone's taxes unless you're super rich.

I was asking for ideas about who to endorse in the runoff election between Falconer and McMath. I've already endorsed Rispone because I think we need an outsider to fix the system.

Thank you all for offering your thoughts.
