re: $572 Million Decision Against J&J in Opioid Trial - Why we can't have anything nice

EXACTLY! Physicians do know opioids are very addictive. It's their responsibility to NOT over prescribe pain medication.
This lawsuit judgement is a VERY BAD thing! It's basically telling people "it's not your fault". Tsk tsk.
Can I sue Ford if I drive too fast and get in a car accident? Lmao... So sick of damn crybabies that have NO self accountability, which seems to be the new "normal". It's always someone else's fault. SMH!
Also, prescriptions come with a frickin BOOKLET of warnings and medication info.
J&J is NOT at fault! The ONLY government "interference" we should have on this issue is a national prescription database for all pharmacies that keeps track of medications that people get/refill, and refuse to fill RX if patterns are seen, or too many RXs for addictive-type medications are noted.
My 26-yo son died 6/1/2018 of a heroin with fentanyl OD, after 3 yrs sober...it was a complete shock, as I thought he had finally beat the shite. My heart will NEVER heal, NO amount of $ will console me. As much as I miss and love my son, it was only his fault. An RN friend of his purchased the needles for him...I don't blame her, afterall, it was his choice to shoot up. It is not the person who sold it to him, nor the RN "friend" that gave him the syringes...it hurts me terribly, but it was his decision...an EXTREMELY sad and stupid one, but the blame sadly does lie with him alone.
My heart goes out to ANYONE who has lost a loved one to this disgusting drug epidemic.
