We plan on it

Jordan Love isn't the first QB LSU has given fits.
Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes were kept in check as well.

I needed to hear this

best of luck the rest of the way

what'd you think of tiger stadium/tailgating? kinda sucks yall got a morning game

I personally wasn't able to make the game, but all of my friends who went loved it. Even if it was an early game.

Thank you sir
Sorry it was so hot
We normally don’t do all that day time shite

I wish we could have played you at night. Not just to avoid the heat, but also to get the full Death Valley experience.
Sorry my Utah State Aggies weren't able to give you a better game. I hope we at least we were a good tune up for Conference play.

I knew your offense was legit. I knew your secondary was legit, but I walked away from the game being incredibly impressed with your D-Line. They absolutely dominated. We couldn't run the ball to save our life and you got good pressure with a 4 man rush.

I have no doubt you'll wipe Florida out and give Bama everything they can handle.

Best of luck. Now go get that playoff bid! :geauxtigers:

Appreciate the info guys. I'll make sure to keep you updated on our injury reports (not that it will make that big of a difference).

Yes, it's starting to get cold here in Utah. Key word starting.

Let me explain to everyone how weather is like up here. You can have one day be snowing and the next day be sunny and 75. I kid you not.

The summers here (especially in late august when football starts) generally get to be around 95-100 degrees. By the end of September it gets to around 80 degrees, then by the end of October it's anywhere from 30-50 degree averages. People who play in football in Utah play in all types of weather.

Granted it's not as humid here in Utah as it is in LA, but 90 degree heat isn't something that's going to shock us.

This will be a bigger factor than the heat

This may have been covered and I missed it....but there is no way Utah State can be ready for the heat they will see in LA.
They will play in the 90's and I bet they haven't seen that temperature in awhile.
If they aren't real deep......

I don't think weather is going to be a factor here. Our players were practicing in 90-100 degree heat in the August during fall camp.

Also we have a lot of players from Florida and Texas who are definitely accustomed to playing in the humidity.

LSU's big advantage are the talented players on their roster.

Injury Updates?

Posted by AggieUprising50 on 10/1/19 at 10:57 am
I remember last week that it was said that a couple of your starting receivers are doubtful for the game on Saturday?

Any updates on this? Are there any other players who are questionable?

Here's where Utah State stands in regards to injuries:
-Last week our power back Jaylen Warren appeared to hurt his shoulder in the first half. No news on if he's expected to play. Because he came out in street clothes in the second half, I'm guessing he'd going to be out.

-Our starting RT tore his ACL against San Diego State.

-We lost one of our best Nose Guards week one. Granted we have two really good ones playing right now, but depth is key is games against SEC opponents.

-We have been really thin at corner these past couple of weeks. We had about 3 of our first and second string players get hurt in week one. No news if any of them are returning for LSU.

They replaced the entire coaching staff.

How is that working out in Starkville??

It's been working great honestly. We haven't skipped a beat. It helps that Gary Andersen coached here already. I wish we still had Aranda though.

If you have any questions about Utah State's team, I'm happy to answer any questions.

Do you get upset for Texas A&M giving Aggies a bad name?

That and growing up in Utah you have to be into outdoor activities like Skiing, Climbing, Mountain Biking, etc. to like it.

I have a second home on Deer Creek Reservoir overlooking Timpanogos. My wife and I will be heading up there Wednesday evening. Looking forward to the fall colors...and temperatures!

That's an awesome place to own a house! Deer Creek is one of my favorite places to boat. (Behind Lake Powell)

You guys are going to score 40 on us, but we're going to score 50 or 60 on y'all. 58-45 is my guess.

I'd take that score.

f you don't double team Tipa, he'll wreak havok in the back field.

Does Tipa usually rush from the defense's right or left side, or do they move him around?

They'll put him either side depending on the match up. Last week they also used him blitzing up the middle and acting as a spy against a mobile QB. He's a very versatile athlete.

I’m actually pumped that our D gets to play a legit offense in this game with a real QB before the meat of the schedule. Should only help us given how much the D needs to improve before the schedule ramps up.

I hope Jordan Love plays well enough to prepare you for Tua.

he had a 10 reception, 200 yard, 4 TD game last week. All three of these guys catch everything thrown their way.

38-24 LSU.

If we only score 38 something went terribly wrong.

I gotta be a little optimistic here

What's your honest prediction of the score?

And will you come back to post afterward?

38-24 LSU.

And Yeah, I'll comeback and wish you luck afterward.

Oh, my boss is going to the game, so if you see a tall skinny basketball looking guy wearing a USU shirt, make him feel welcome.
quote:

Excuse the heathens. We actually love having non-conference fans here. Well, not Texas fans, but that's different.

Here is my question: Looking at your team as it is, what is the biggest challenge you think it will pose to this year's LSU team?

Appreciate the warm welcome.

That's a great question. The speed of our Offense always gives opponents troubles. Especially when you have a QB who knows how to make defenses pay for missed assignment. However you're secondary is elite, which eliminates that. We have a solid run game that will beat you if you don't focus on stopping it.

If you don't double team Tipa, he'll wreak havok in the back field.

So to answer your question, it's either having a QB that takes advantage of mental errors by the defense or having a good front 7 that gets after the QB and is stout against the run.

all I know about Utah State is they were literally Taysom Hill's kryptonite.

He suffered 3 season ending injuries against them in his career

Two of those times came from the same USU player. He was the Taysom Hill Bane.
