Ummm…Jack Buck???

Is Mizzou going to get expelled from the league for this?

Nope. Sanky forgot Mizzou was in the SEC just like y’all have been doing for years. Under the radar is good sometimes!

Very true! But it’s the only game in town, and it’s still football…kinda.

I’ll be in the house sweating’ my arse off!

Meh, we’re used to it. Y’all have been trying to kick us out since we got here.

The Sixth-Year College QB Who Sued to Stay in School

Might be behind a paywall so here's a couple of the salient points:

This season, he is set to earn more than $6 million from NIL deals, far surpassing what he would have earned as a standard NFL rookie.

and this...

Of the 257 players drafted into pro football in April, 250 will make less money annually on their rookie deals than Chambliss will this season, according to Spotrac.
Nobody really expected to beat OU in those days, but losing to kansas was unforgivable and ultimately cost Onofrio his job.

Sure this isn't Missouri?

Positive! It’s not Texas either. Man, I LOVED sorority rush! Beautiful young ladies shuffling around Greek Town pre start of classes. By that point we had already pledged or in subsequent years our pledges had already committed. Nothing to do but drink beer and admire the scenery. Parents always wondered why I went back a week or two early.

that won a Heisman for them

Remind me again who did he win a Heisman for? Burrows won a natty for “them”. Daniels won a Heisman for himself.
Brad Smith 2005 Independence Bowl against SCAR.

282 yards passing
150 yards rushing
4 TDs

I think the 150 yards rushing is still an Independence Bowl record for a QB. Likewise his 432 of total offense 2nd all-time for a QB in that bowl.
Not our fault that teams that are ranked when we beat them fold like a cheap suit by the end of the year. Must be the embarrassment of losing to Missouri that puts them in that death spiral.

and never be considered true competition.

I suggest working on that severe deflection and logic flaw from which you suffer!

Let’s take it down to elementary school proficiency tests…

Which of these statements best supports a win-loss record of 2-2?

a) the team that has won two games in the series will never be considered true competition

b) the fact that the series is tied at 2-2 is indicative of a competitive series of contests

c) Paul Finebaum has overstayed his relevancy

d) b and c are true

I already know your answer and it’s why even though you followed LSU growing up, you had to settle on community college

Missouri lmao what a joke

Alabama lmao what a joke.

Gosh, that was much easier than I thought having to present nothing of substance!
You can post this shite all day long, but there are few , if any, smart enough to understand what happened in 2012 with the addition of A&M and Mizzou bringing rich cable markets for Slive to have in his back pocket when negotiating to launch the lucrative SEC network. It’s sad that such a seminal event is lost on the mouth breathers who will never understand the business that is CFB!

3 programs broken by Daddy LSU

LSU pulling even to Mizzou all time at 2-2 in 2023 hardly constitutes breaking a program

Well, there's nothing good to say about your program. I feel bad for mizz-who fans... because y'all will be at the rock bottom and never be considered true competition.

Sorry I guess you don't think beyond first level thinking... My reading comprehension is fine. I WILL try harder to educate you.

Please read until your lips tire…

Q : How did Missouri get into the SEC?

A: Slive needed big cable markets to launch the unprecedented (at the time) SEC Network. Mizzou delivered rich cable markets. It had NOTHING to do with future performance in the conference. NOTHING! It was a wildly successful strategy. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about business and contracts understands this. Clearly you do not!

It hasn’t been about markets in 10 years. It’s about brands , which makes it more mysterious

If you are talking about broadcast TV markets, I would agree. However, at the time Missouri and A&M were admitted it was most certainly about cable TV marketts, and sports packages within cable television subscriptions. If the SEC network got included in a sports package (which it did) in a baseball crazy market like St. Louis or Kansas City. The SEC network was paid a certain amount per subscription whether that subscriber watched the SEC network or not. Read a couple articles. It was a huge win for Slive. The Texas market, especially but also St. Louis and Kansas City helped him negotiate that blockbuster deal.
