You are simply cherry-picking some stats.

quote:

#1 Trajectory

You mean this trajectory...
2022 6-7
2023 10-3
2024 6-7
2025 10-3
Based on his past performance his "trajectory" has him due to go 6-7 in 2026.

quote:

#2 Big Wins:

You are drilling down into minutiae here...but 7 wins over teams ranked at the time he played them.

These statements are nothing but your opinion. Not objective criteria:
quote:

but again he seems to be trending better.

quote:

is going in the opposite direction.

quote:

#3 Beating the teams you’re supposed to beat

You fail to include his time at Appalachian State which makes his numbers 54-12 for a 81.8% (or higher than your made up subjective 80% threshold)...and before you dismiss that season, realize that he took a Sun Belt team and finished 19th in the nation that year. Quite an accomplishment for any head coach.

The only argument in favor of Drink is if someone perceives the ceiling being so low at Mizzou that he has done the impossible of making multiple bowl games.

Really? That's the ONLY argument? See my post above.

Sounds like you're not much of a Drinkwitz fan. Believe me, I've had my own issues with Drink over the years (particularly last season), but on an objective basis, there are a number of reasons to rank Drink higher.

By what criteria would you say Venabals is better than Drinkwitz?

In Venables 4 seasons as a head coach he is 32-20 for a win % of 61.5% and his teams never finished higher than #13 in the AP poll (#10 in Coaches). He is 1-1 head to head against Drinkwitz.

Drinkwitz in 7 seasons as a HC is 58-30 for a win % of 65.9% and has finished #8 in both AP & Coaches.

If you want to throw in the CFP appearance, remember OU made it in a 12 team field. In 2023 Mizzou wouid have easily made the CFP had the CFP been expanded to 12 by then. So that's a wash.

but drinkpiss and other coaches who can’t win 10 games are better?

Ummm...see 2023 (11 wins) and 2024 (10 wins) and if you like you can add 12 wins at Appalachian State but I'm not hanging my hat on that one.

There is no objective criterion to support your assertion.

You’re a child. The MU & A&M addition allowed Slive to negotiate what at the time was an unprecedented lucrative SEC Network launch. It was extremely valuable to ALL SEC teams at the time.

This ignorance has no excuse in an age so ripe with information from so many sources!
Word is he’s got this locked up on Polynarket. He shorted himself. He plays…he gets paid…he doesn’t…he wins his wager.

Gambling is a wonderful thing when you know what you’re doing. And at 3k+ bets this kid certainly knows!
Art History degree from Vandy.
Accounting degree from ANY of the other SEC schools.

Who gets hired?

It’s all about the degree!

Maybe I should quit drinking and go to bed.

The only problem with that is…what do you have to wake up to tomorrow? No early kickoffs, no complex planning to make sure you catch every CFB game you deem relevant.

What? You’re going to get up and find college baseball games? Get ahold of yourself man! You’re a MIZZOU fan! Baseball is played in STL and KC…and typically later in the day.

So by all means, continue drinking, just come up with better threads,
I don’t get it either :dunno:

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Monday that there is "optimism that Ahmad Hardy will play football again," adding that Hardy is "alert today and moving around.

Alert and moving around, sounds better than simply stable. Hope he recovers quickly!

Wasn't the '07 game played at Arrowhead Stadium?

Indeed it was. My bad. Still have always liked the pic.

Todd Reesing takes home a little Faurot Field souvenir after his game-ending safety sack.

1993-94 Mizzou Basketball Tigers undefeated in Big 8 conference play. 14-0. Literally impossible to break.
Soft?

Sounds like you’re the soft one if you don’t have the balls to stand up for your family.

To what end?

You are assuming I’m trying to recover money from this (likely) broke arse dick. No expectations in that regard whatsoever. Just trying to inflict a little pain on the a-hole. You ever had to deal with a wage garnishment? Tried to get credit with an outstanding judgement against you? shite like this can frick up a lot of everyday life activities.

Since I wasn’t there to retaliate on the spot, this is the best I can do. But by God, I’d do what I can. Don’t frick with mine if they didn’t have it coming.
quote:

No he’s not. No lawyer would take that case. What are you going to recover from a loser like that. He’s probably already in bankruptcy.

All I know is that if some drunk 52 yo a-hole sucker punched my 18-20 yo kid (who was NOT the kid that threw the beer) I’d pay the lawyer hourly to frick this guy over!
Makes me so sad! Loved Norm, but he just couldn’t get it done in the Tourney.

I wish Gates was the guy and he is legitimately a good recruiter, but I just can’t get past the feeling if he had his pick of the 10 best players on UConn and Michigan this year he’d still not have cleared the Sweet 16.

In my lifetime, the Cubs beat their curse, the R Sox beat their curse (of course against my team), the Blues finally won the cup

When the frick is it OUR turn???

It’s a design element of a north end improvement that adds plenty of suites. That’s where the true revenue is. All the existing suites are sold. It replaces a general admission hill.

Sounds a bit like trolling. Go play in the other forum. Plenty of MU dis threads for you over there.
Thanks for posting the link. Having trouble with X.

The 40% returning D concerns me for MU as we had a decent Defense last year. I really have no way to form an opinion on the Offense side, as we had a bad OC and a worse HC when it came to managing the Offense.

2026 is a new year and feels like we’re starting over with a new QB and a new OC. Whether they can move the needle…not a clue! Got a very good RB coming back in Hardy, and some decent receivers, but I ain’t on my phone placing (recently legal in MO) bets on the 2026 season!
Got a call from a former colleague last week to see if I wanted to join him in the firm’s box for Friday night’s second session. Of course I said, having no indication I’d be seeing MU. Just fun to go to the tourney.

Then Mizzou gets STL AND gets the second game. Every now and then things work out!
