I think the left side numbers is the group and the right side of it is how many holes they’re through. Very confusing graphic.

This coverage is absolutely horrendous.

No call in the jets-bills game seemed worse to me. Pretty clear the nfl doesn’t want penalties deciding games imo.

They moved the PGA Championship from one of Trump’s courses shortly after J6. Frick em, go woke go broke
The pga (who organizes the pga championship) and the pga tour are completely different and unrelated entities. The tour did pull the tournament out of doral during trumps original presidential run but it was because the sponsor ended the relationship and they were unsuccessful in finding a new one at trumps course.

This is what Phil was trying to say when it back fired on him. Why hold Phil Michelson to a standard that you don't hold others to.
It’s because Phil came out and said something like they’re some scary motherfrickers. I really don’t care that the players took the money but he did put himself out there by denouncing it and still taking the money.

So the PGA owns the rights to the players highlights. If a sponsor or player want to use any of those for advertisement they have to pay the PGA to do so. Also players are required to play in a minimum number of events to keep their card. Any player wishing to play in a non PGA endorsed event must file for a waiver and is only eligible to do so 5 times in a year. Sounds like ownership rules to me. Not to mention the PGA banning players for playing in LIV events instead of approving waivers for the 8 LIV events,
In no way was I trying to imply that the pga tour made all the right decisions. They could’ve handled this whole thing better but their back is against the wall.
What contributed to the foundation of this whole league was that players like FIGJAM think they deserve more money for being popular. I get it and I had started to come around on it but I personally have no interest in watching has beens finish 20 shots behind the lead.
There are no owners, players have board positions and they are involved in the process. The tour simply can’t compete with the Saudi money. The players get more percentage than any other league.

Norman pointed out that ARAMCO, a Saudi energy company is the largest sponsor of the LPGA tour. So i guess it’s ok for the women folk to play for dirty Saudi money? Also the companies that sponsor the PGA do about 50 billion dollars worth of business in Saudi per year. Why has t the PGA cut the ties with those sponsors?
I don’t think that’s the biggest gripe with it. There’s a difference between owning and sponsoring. The amount of money they’re paying these players is more than they’ll ever make off the product.
Just my opinion - the saudis saw an opportunity to control an entire American sports league for less money than buying one nfl team.
To me, one of the great things about golf is that there are no owners so most of the money already goes back to the players and that pay is directly tied to their performance.
I foresee them buying a bunch of players, crushing the pga, then cutting back all of the purses and no longer giving contracts. The organization still pulls the same amount of revenue but only half of it goes to the players.

They probably do at times but these guys are also on their own schedule. Some went early for the jp mcmanus, some for the Scottish, and some just for the open.
Pure speculation but I’d guess the quickest and most sensible way for cam to get back to jax at that point was on the commercial flight.
Outside of the top few guys, they often fly commercial.

Pretty common when they’re flying international. See morikawa last year after the open or hideki last year after the masters (returning to Japan.)
Private international flights are very expensive and in some cases (although not typically between Europe) it will require the plane to make refueling stops. Tiger flew commercial a few years back to the tournament in Dubai so he wouldn’t have to stop.
He likely already had the first class ticket booked and had no interest in trying to line up a PJ or paying the extra 50k+ for it.
