I think LSU signs a 3star out of Alabama most years. Have a QB commit from Alabama this year.

Yeah that is the reason. It has nothing to do with Alabama being the top program in college football. It's totally because they are scared of 9-4 LSU.

Bama opponents have had 38 possessions when trailing by 20pts or less. Those 38 drives produced 3TDs and 3FGs for an average of 0.79pts/drive.
