I reside in Florida (don’t hold that against me) and everyone who I run into while wearing my LSU gear supports our Tigers against Alabama. Especially since most Gator fans relize their win against us was nothing more than a mere fluke. They equate bama as the SEC equivalent of the mighty Goliath and LSU as the underdog David. The consensus here is if anyone can beat Alabama it’s us and only us. And of course, bama MUST be beaten. We can’t loose this thing. I hope our boys hit hard and crush the bama line. Put their faces in the dirt. Tear their body’s apart. Coach O body slams Nick Saban on the 50 yard line in the middle of the field.
I’m so stoked. This will be THE GAME of the season. I can’t wait to be in attendance at the 50 yard line in the visitors section yelling STTDB! as LSU stomps the gumps into oblivion. This will be my 1st LSU game attendance and I cannot wait to be apart of what just may be the game of my lifetime.

Pretty much my thinking too. I trust the loss against Florida woke our asses up.

I agree from the perspective that a loss to a team like Rice could crush our spirits more than a loss from Ga or bama. Good point. It’s always the underdogs that have something to prove that we must prepare for just as we do against our strongest opponents.

And I think we have the potential to beat both teams.
But my real question is if we loose to Georgia but beat bama, would it matter with regard to placement in standings?

I agree. But not necessarily for the rivalry. More so for the placement in rankings. If bama remains #1 and we win all games going into the bama game, we’ll be sitting pretty good. Damn good actually.

Coming to Baton Rouge from Florida to see LSU hopefully stomp Alabama into oblivion on November 3rd.
