A fireside is a devotional.
This is an opportunity to come and meet the BYU team in person as well and to hear their testimonies.

I will say this, the classiest fans I have ever been around were Washington fans at Husky Stadium. They are very gracious hosts.

Not if you miss too many PATs on account of excessive celebration penalties."
Uh, I was at the BYU vs UW game on the 45 yard line of the north upper deck and I can tell you that no matter if they kicked it there or the 5 yard line, there is no way their kicker makes that kick with the penitration the BYU D Line had on that play. They crashed that O Line and would have gotten to it regardless.
Besides, tossing the ball up 30 feet in the air does vioate the rules of the game and should be an unsportsmanlike penalty.

BYU to open 2009 season at Tulane!!!
Posted by TyDetmer14 on 8/15/08 at 2:11 pm
It's been a while since I last posted here on the rant but I have come with good news. There have been reports that BYU and Tulane have been working out an agreement that would bring BYU down to NOLA to open the 2009 season vs the green wave.
Now I don't expect many of you to be familiar with this years BYU team but we have been picked to be the BCS buster this year. But in 2009, we are slated to have an even better team (if all our starters return which is likely) and could be in serious contention for a bid in the BCS Title game that season. This may be your chance to get a glimpse of a top 5-10 BYU team next year. We will be good.
I hope to make the game (and my first trip to New Orleans). And am very excited about playing our first game in the state of Louisiana.

Miles/Pellini job interviews/changes cost LSU a NC?
Posted by TyDetmer14 on 11/29/07 at 6:40 pm
I think that Les Miles and Pellini from the mid part of the season has been distracted from coaching LSU due to job interviews and such. If I was an LSU fan I'd be pissed that those distractions cost us a shot at a MNC. :banghead:
