Can you link us? Struggling to find it
Agree with OP.

Anyone can get up there to win it all. Chanticleers...Stony Brooke with a shot. Dare I say even ULL. You maintain power houses with the true underdogs taking shots every year. It’s truly fun and mysterious every year.

As for the bat situation...the new ball has leveled it out and I’m happy with what I saw at the plate last year. College baseball still has school pride and excitment without too much money involved to have fat cats influence it. Nice post OP.

And if you get the big one, better use braided line. Its heavy and will snap monofilament or fluorocarbon if you "whip it" when you cast. A buddy told me.

This is def true. I lost my only plopper on my first cast so that’s why I’m curious. I got a side of a stump thinking my line would handle it. Nope. And I was so excited to see how it would perform

Agree with everything OP says until the last 2 sentences. We shouldn’t have 20 threads started about this....but c’mon...of course we care about Les...unless your’re 7 yrs old and didn’t watch LSU the last decade.
The BUFF is where it’s at. Cover your ears.
Agree...last year was Mullen. He gone. Whole different team in mooVille. That’s not to say we sleepin..just my perspective. I hope we come out thinking about last years route
The players don’t have as short of a memory as fans do. They aren’t sleeping on moo and fitz
I just got dumber reading this topic.

O is getting it right now but to jump so quick as to an extension would be a horrendous business decision. O loves LSU...it’s his dream job. Secure Aranda for an extension. O ain’t going nowhere
Tejas that’s Texas. A lot of hype around their program...easily beatable. Best of both worlds

I'm certainly not making an appeal to history; I was simply pointing out that the definition of personhood has been fluid.

And no one (who is being honest with themselves) is arguing that a zygote isn't "human life". The question is whether it's a person, and if so, whether it has attained full personhood or partial. Which rights, both positive and negative, come with that designation?

Im right here with you on this. My question is...CAN science discover when someone has attained full personhood? I think we’ve convinced ourselves that it can, legislated on it, yet have 0 empiracle evidence. All science has revealed is what you said above, that a zygote is human life.

So why are we chancing this? If something is unknown, it’s not worth the risk of human life. Abortion is extremely aggressive and based on selfishness and the free pleasure of sex.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness

Is "personhood" a made up concept? What are the components that make that up?

Awesome question. What do you think?

If men had babies abortions would get performed at wal-mart and there'd be tens of millions more of them per year. Imagine the Alabama QB getting pregnant and all the women in this country telling him he must have his baby and miss out on playing in the NC game. Bet 100% of Alabama fans would be for abortions then
.

This my friend, is what we call a logical fallacy. A red herring. C’mon, you’re better than that

Overly simplified, it’s the acquisition of status in which one has full rights granted to an individual, autonomous person.

This thread will clarify:

This was something that I was looking for. Thanks for the link. Well explained and thorough.

Some points that I would rebuttle. Humanity has (as you have correctly stated) defined human persons in different ways. Slavery, the Nazi’s to the Jews, and so on and so forth. However, these were all mistakes. We have come to learn that. Slaves or prisoners, while at some point in time have been deemed as not humans, are now seen as humans that still have dignity, despite their social status. Thus I too am against the death penalty for prisoners.

What was right in history is not necessarily okay. My position is that we are making a mistake with the pre-born in deeming them not human, and without the rights afforded to us by our constitution.

Think I got it. Oh I know it’s a harsh forum ahha..I’ve been on here for years and just refrained from posting. Thanks for the help Liz.

According to google: the quality or condition of being an individual person. That was precisely my point. Our DNA sequence is what makes us individual and unique.
