re: Question about Superdome Suites...
Posted by LSU for all time on 4/5/10 at 4:44 pm to Nick Papa Georgio
My wife's company has a 16 seat suite. Your annual dollars are about right. Also, as a suite owner, you can purchase up to 5 other tickets for the games (600 level) and they too can get a "pass" to come into the suite. So, you can have really up to 21 folks in the suite at a time (kind of crowded though).
As a way to reduce costs, you can purchase the suite then sell some of the tickets to another company.
As far as renting out for events, forget the Superbowl, the NFL takes them all. Sugar Bowl can be between $10-15K. The Bayou Classic can be about $3-5K. The Essence Festival can realistically get about $5K. NCAA tourney-don't know if a suite owner can keep it or has to give it up. If there are concerts in the dome during the ownership period, could be rented for that event for about $1-3K, depending upon the act. LHSAA State Championships could be sold, but not the kind of crowd or $ you're looking for.
For me, the best bet is to split the cost with another company, get the 5 extra tix and sell the rest of the events if possible. 16 tix for 10 games is quite a bit.

Went to 18 straight LSU-Tulane games, including the 14-0 Tulane win in old Tulane stadium in 1973. Have'nt been though in quite a few years.
Those were good times.

My daughter attends JMU. Word is up in H burg that they have had this game circled for quite some time. The team is pumped and so are the students. Should be a good game. JMU is no slouch. Ranked #2 in 1-AA (sorry) in many polls.
re: Facility Needs

My daughter's swam at the Aquatic Center...What a joke. It is an embarrasment to the school.
LSU is not even in the SEC Conference Championship rotation because the facility is so sub-standard. (Wonder how many of you knew that) If LSU could provide upgraded facilities to the swimmers, they would attract a better quality and probably contend with the Auburn's and Florida's for conference honors. They've won national championships. We've never come close. But, I guess we need to wait our turn.

re: Home Page Poll: Do you want LSU to rehire Saban?

Absolutely no!!!!
Think it's funney we're even tallking about this on this site. No way will this even approach happening. Funny and entertaining to read other posts though.
If Miles does leave, we will get a great coach. What we have to figure out is why they keep leaving and how do we stop the exodus?
