Shrimp stew with eggs dropped in

My Cajun Grandmother used to cook so wonderfully! One of my faves of hers was shrimp stew. It was tomato based and she would drop in a few raw eggs to poach near the end. Anyone have a comparable recipe? HELP PLEASE!
