Chen Caille Comb reeds
Posted by grock4092 on 11/14/25 at 10:25 am
Have an old Chen Caille with the original Ace Comb reed. Was playing with tuning it and the reed finally gave out on me; snapped right down the middle.
Anyone know how to make a new one out of a comb? I’m sure I could buy a few combs and get it figured out but thought I’d check here first. Want to avoid just putting a coyote reed in it if I can.
TIA

From what I’ve learned so far in vet school:
UTIs are sometimes very tough to fully eradicate once they get the first one. Bacteria/causative agent can be dormant and non-problematic in the bladder/tissues surrounding urinary tract for quite a while and go undetected then flare up from time to time.
Best thing, as the OBers above mentioned is find a diet/lifestyle that will help minimize whatever is causing the relapses, then just treat it as it comes up.
Grain vs no grain vs type of protein in the diet, hard to say which one is actually better, huge variations breed to breed and within individuals, but anything that would cause inflammation or GI issues should be avoided.
There are prescription diets that the vet can get you on that can help protect the urinary tract and might help lessen the occurrence.

Four Wheelers on WMAs

Are registrations required for ATVs on public lands? Always assumed so and never/very cautiously used mine on WMAs. Would consider going through the process to register it, but its 30+ years old, don't have any documentation, title, etc to go with it.
State law reads that they need to be registered for use on public highways/roads, but couldn’t find anything in WMA regulations aside from tire restrictions and speed limits etc. Never seen a ticket handed out but most people I see have a registration sticker on theirs

20 ga with light loads will kick less/handle better/kill more birds than a .410.
Benelli sells a 20 ga Montefeltro 24” barrel that comes with youth and adult stock, a true “buy once cry once” gun. Change to adult stock when he grows out of it and he will have a gun for life and something he can give to his kids.
I think retails for ~1200.

Tried to plant a dove field with millet... that was a disaster. No millet came up at all, but the field is chock full of this weed: LINK
Any idea what this is or if its worth trying to spray/disk/burn and hunt?
