Thank you to everyone that responded with some actual insight as to why/when...this was not meant as a derogatory question. I went back and re-read my original post and see how it could be construed as such.
I am a Clemson Tiger, but root for/like a lot of different teams when they are not playing my Tigers. I know it is kind of odd that I came and posted when I did; like I said previously, it was started after reading a post "tale of two Tigers". Clemson and LSU have played three times...yall have won two and all REALLY close games. Would LOVE a home&home series...but sure it won't happen anytime soon.

Go (and geaux) Tigers!!!
Hahaha...good one Genestealer55...but, you KNOW you heard of the Tigers atleast five years ago...you know, 4th and 16....Tajh to Nuk for 1st down...your defense SUCKING wind...trying to stop the game by faking injuries....

Go Tigers!!!
To be sure, there would be some folks who could not respond with an actual answer. ...just like here...but there would also be others actually trying to give an answer and history...like Tigermall and lickitty split.

Go Tigers!!!
LSUTigermall,
Thank you. I drove around LSU's campus one day just to see Tiger Stadium, Mike the Tiger and such. Beautiful area! Went to eat at Walk-On's...(this all was about four hours out of our way during an 18 hr drive..but worth it.)

Go Tigers!!!
I will have to look that up. "Welcome to Death Valley" is in Memorial Stadium...has been I don't know how long.
I am sure several things are copied from all sorts of places. Just wanted to know WHEN did LSU start referring to Tiger Stadium as Death Valley and not Deaf Valley. If no one can answer, so be it. This wasn't a "troll" or anything. Good luck in yall's bowl.(would love to go to Tiger Stadium for a game some day...)

Go Tigers!!!
Not a "geaux" kind of guy.

Go Tigers!!! (Clemson)
I come on here occasionally to read messages...see what yall think about Ogeron and where yall are going with/without him... (actually first time on here was after Troy.)

Go Tigers!!!
Dude, I have followed college football since I can remember. Really started in '88/89. I KNOW LSU tried to call their place DEAF valley (because it was/is so loud)...never....NEVER heard Tiger Stadium refered to as anything other until about 4/5 yrs ago on College Gameday...Rece Davis said it. Gamecock fans THEN started crap saying LSU's was DV.....just to get under our (Clemson Tigers) skin.
Don't disagree with any of that. ..Clemson program started from Auburn coach...known that... (copy comes from Gene Chizic and everything Dabo said turned into a Chizic/Auburn "phrase"...)

Go Tigers!!!
I know our (Clemson) reasoning. Asking about LSU. I like yall's team, stadium, uniforms...just don't know as to why/when LSU fans started calling Tiger Stadium "Death Valley"....actually never heard that until about four years ago.

Go Tigers!!!
Hahahaha!!! Seriously? Just asking a question...stay classy guy ;)

I can tell I have hit a nerve with that simple question due to the down votes. Yall KNOW...just like Auburn does....copy, copy, copy.

Go Tigers!!!
Thanks; just always wondered...and reading someone's post earlier "tale of two Tigers"..someone posted "real death valley"....

Go Tigers!!!
And why did yall change it to Death Valley? Clemson has the Death Valley...actually given by another teams coach...not just because our fans didn't like a "deaf valley" moniker. So, honestly asking..

Go Tigers!!!
