I feel ya Doka! Let's realize that this thing that the Saints have constructed is not just going to result in a great season, I believe this is the jump off of a 3 to 6 year run with 2 to 3 Championships sprinkled in! Get your Ribeyes ready!
I just think U. Young is going to rise to the task. We all know he has the tools but needs the chance. 3 picks in one day in camp and a game winning pick at KC is no fluke. If MM is at 80% with the play of T. Porter at cb and yes J. David in the dime sitting on short routes and Greer doing his thing not to mention Gay in the nickel Young will get a chance to show the whole league his skills. With the short routes well covered and the creative pressure along with the A+ cb play then it will be left up to Young to stay deeper than the deepest and catch the duck passes the pass rush produces. I think the kid is going to be like a young Sammy Knight. He will be a solid wood bringing center fielder. I’m not a TO fan but GET YOUR POPCORN READY!!!
re: Does Gruden have the balls to deep on David?????

When I watch Jason David the one thing that stands out is he makes his big plays on the short to midrange passes to his side. That’s why he is so suspect on the deep routes. If he had a good safety to lean on he would have his hands on a lot of balls under 16 yards. With that said Santa has no Good Safeties for Coach Gibbs this year!

This years D seems to be always short do to injury. We are still good to make this second half push. But we could be better if we were healthy. That said we will be healthy next year and we lack that opportunity this year.

First let me say that we will make the Playoffs this year and do some damage when we get there. But I can't help peeking ahead to next years Defense. I'm most excited about our D-line. The rotation at DE will be Grant, McCray, and Smith. The rotation for DTs will be DeMario Pressley, Sedrick Ellis, and Brian Young. Our LBs will be Vilma, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, and Scott Fujita. I also like the depth with Marvin Mitchell and whoever is picked up in the draft. I really like MM to come back as a bigtime CB with the knee firmly in the rearview mirror. The question is will Young be able to step in at CB for Mack or will it take another year. Young is clearly good enough for dime and nickel but we need more from him and I think he will deliver. With that said Tracy Porter was on pace to be the top rookie CB in the league. Harper still needs work but that Monday Night game showed us that he is quickly cleaning up his act vs. the run and over the top coverage. He just needs to catch the balls that find there way into his arms. That's how I see it. I think the strength of our D will be the D-line. I just feel that elusive incredibly disruptive 4 man pass rush that sends average DBs to probowls will finally show up in New Orleans. Let me know if I have lost my mind or if we are looking nice for next year.
re: Why isn't Scott Shanle adding depth behind Takeo Spikes?

I feel ya Hoss. But he is better than the Coaches pet.
He didn't want to play here but wanted to play 2nd string for San Fran. We didn't give him a sniff!? I was wondering why just after he was released from Philly but I thought he must be absolutely done. If we had signed him to battle for the starting job he would have jumped at it.
Jeff Ulbrich is much better than Scott and now Spikes has him sitting on the bench. Now because of injury he just flat took his job. Now tell me would Scott still be starting if Spikes was here. Once again tell me if I'm nuts!?

How did we not get Takeo Spikes? I thought he was to hurt to play at all. His shoulder was the issue but it looked pretty good on his one handed int. The depth chart at that position should be Takeo Spikes, Jo-Lonn Dunbar, and Scott Shanle. Now somebody please tell me if I am crazy!!!
What got me was on 3rd down in the 4th qtr ,when we need a 1st to kill the clock, they ran PT to the weak side behind Stinch. I know hind sight is 20/20 but I wanted Duce to go strongside/Brown's side for the first down. With that said we have to lose 4 games this year. Who cares which 4.

We needed to go for it on 4th and 1 but coach P punted and put it on our D who had just been figured out in the 4th quater by the Skins. Please excuse the run-on sentence.
Like I said, 5 to 8 grabs.

Porter is Ballin!!!!

Can you Digg it!
Shockey is going to play and have between 5 and 8 catches. Coach SP has some very nice Shockey sets that he wanted to keep under the radar during the preseason. Get your Buttered Popcorn ready!
I think that the Times Pic and the League are trying to send Coach P a message. Maybe he should take the hint. With that said I'm a fan and he is a NFL coach who was a few plays from a Championship game. Then he made moves this offseason that bumped our D up to a top 8 unit and still added players on O that really makes it unfair for the rest of the NFL. So I’ll be fine with his call.
Has Jason David been cut?
