I tried to reply to a post from 9/20 where someone had done the same thing I did. Turned the phone off during an install.
I was able to restore my phone by calling apple support and they walked me through the steps.
It took quite a few hours but we did a restore from the cloud from a backup from the day before.
So all the "snarky" remarks made were not needed to the previous post.
