I bring this up because I was curious as to whether a difference in OCs might make a difference, or if this is strictly a Miles thing.
I am a supporter of Coach Miles, and have been pleased with the progress of the defense.
The offense is another story. Under "attention to detail" you can add a lack of wide receivers being able to hold their blocks downfield. Several plays this year would have been for long yardage but for the corner shedding the block and drilling the ball carrier.

Agree on all counts... My guess is Miles wanted to keep options open until after the season, but had his hand forced. He defended his team and gave up his options, maybe listening to his head and not his heart. He showed character, and his players will never forget the lesson.
Getting a MNC shot could not have fallen to a more deserving coach.
Made me proud to be LSU!
