I'm glad they are getting it put to them. I especially am enjoying the look on their coach's face. I actually enjoy it when the camera shows his face. He looks like he is in pain!!

I am not over it...I was so spoiled from last year. I really wanted a repeat. I think they proved a lot of people wrong who thought they wouldn't even have a winning season, but I wanted so much more. Still do...
I couldn't agree more. He runs with power and determination.

I want to know the answer to the above question, also. I would love to get tickets for that price.
You take it wrong. I have been a fan for many years. I just got used to winning in the past couple of years.
I said this last year and I still believe it...we as fans are spoiled. We went from hoping we could win to knowing we would win. At first it was just fine that we won. Then we needed to score 40 points before it was an acceptable win. Then we had to totally dominate in all aspects before it was acceptable. I personally am satisfied at 2-0 and just want to keep winning. Ugly, barely, whatever...just win!
I cried. Big old tears of joy. I am not ashamed!!!

The New Orleans Saints' Championship Tour will make a stop in Shreveport on July 8 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center.

"I've always believed the Saints should make every effort possible to reach out to all areas of the state of Louisiana," Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover said during a news conference Friday at the convention center.

"We know New Orleans represents one of the smallest markets in the NFL. In order for us to be an NFL state, it's taken the support and sacrifice of Louisianans from Shreveport to Mamou and from Monroe to Mandeville to make this happen. We are thankful the Saints have worked with various groups involved to help make this possible."

The tour begins July 7 in Monroe and will hit 10 cities across the Gulf South region. Six Louisiana cities — Monroe, Shreveport, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and Houma — are on the itinerary. The tour also stops in Jackson, Miss., Biloxi-Gulfport, Miss., Mobile, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla.

"Our fans are the inspiration and foundation of our success," Saints owner Tom Benson said in a statement. "It is important to me and our organization to share these symbols of our championship with as many of our fans throughout the Gulf South as possible."

Among the symbols on the tour are the Lombardi Trophy, the Halas Trophy (NFC champion), Drew Brees' Super Bowl-worn jersey and helmet and the official Super Bowl ring.

"It's coming in a size 13," Glover said while flashing his ring finger. "That's just the right size for yours truly and I'll be happy to serve as the official spokesmodel."

Doors will open at 10 a.m., but convention center general manager Sam Voisin expects the setup to begin in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Part of the event, which is free to the public, is a version of the Saints Experience, an interactive setup with games, and a performance by the Saintsations. A yet-to-be-announced Saints player will also attend the festivities.

Glover cited the city's relationship with SMG regional manager Doug Thornton, a native Shreveporter and Woodlawn High School alumnus, for helping land a spot on the tour.

"I do not, in any way, want to undervalue the role Shreveporter Doug Thornton played in terms of helping this," Glover said. "He's been a great supporter and a great friend to the city. Doug has been there advocating on our behalf in the very days after the Super Bowl."

Lombardi visits Shreveport

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the Shreveport Times this morning. The Lombardi and some "unnamed" Saints players are coming to Shreveport on Thursday. The mayor also said a Superbowl ring will be on display. I will be going to see these for sure. I am so glad that the Saints organization is reaching out to the entire region of Saints fans. I think we are the first stop on the tour. They are going to Monroe and some sites in Mississippi too. :nana:

I can't believe the school system in Louisiana gets such a bad rep when clearly people from Minnesota have to be the clear winner in the uneducated department. Even stupid doesn't explain the logic coming from this idiot. It is tough being a loser, he needs to get over it.

I think it has turned into a big stink. There was an article where the author told the commisioner that he better put a stop to all this trash talking between the Saints and the Vikings because it was getting out of hand. He seems to think that several players are taking it too seriously and players really could get hurt. I don't really know. Did all this start because of the game this year? I don't really remember there being a rivalry before.
