If the average man from each of these fine towns got into a single-elimination fist-fighting tournament, who would win and why?
I don't follow the pre-draft stuff that closely, but what's the absolute lowest Fournette will fall? Is it a less than 1% chance that he falls to 11?
I think it's a masterpiece. The last 50 seconds in particular are chilling. And when the last chord is played, you know you just heard greatness.

College Basketball sucks

I've seen this opinion quite often on the Internet. Can I ask why you think this?

Personally I'm not big on college basketball either, except for March Madness. But compared to the NBA it just seems like there's better effort and more enthusiasm in college.

The NBA regular season is hard to watch unless it's one of the top 2-3 teams. Most NBA regular season games almost look like pickup games at the local gym. Guys just jogging around, taking careless shots, etc.

I can confirm that this location has milkshakes. And they are good, and priced better than their competition.

Read that they'd have shakes on this board months ago. Gotta love the Food and Drink Board

I think LSU should be able to get a kid who lives inside UL's baseball stadium.

Look, I get all the downvotes. Everyone wants to circle the wagons to defend LSU. I get it. But every year there are some really good baseball players from South Louisiana that don't go to LSU.

I realize there will always be a few that get away. I just think it's been too many of them here lately. Is there anyone who's done their homework and thinks that's an unreasonable opinion?

Anyone could see Wyatt Marks and Hogan Harris were big-time arms in high school. Marks was 88-90 with a wipeout slider. Harris was wicked from the left side. Looking at their stats at ULL they've been just as dominant as expected in college.

Same with JT Mauldin and Austin Edens. Anyone could see they were monsters at the plate in high school. What's everyone's big complaint right now about LSU? Feeble at the plate. Those two guys certainly wouldn't have hurt.

Travis Swaggerty was the best hitter in the area when he was at Denham and had an absolute cannon in the oufield. Wouldn't he fit in nicely into our outfield this year?

I've always thought he was a talented actor.
LSU Baseball has let some of the best from South Louisiana get away in the past few years:

Wyatt Marks (ULL/St. Thomas More HS) - 1.24 ERA in 36 innings, only 16 hits allowed an 56 K's.

Hogan Harris (ULL/St. Thomas More HS) - 2.51 ERA in 32 innings, 25 hits allowed and 46 K's.

Gunner Lege (ULL/Barbe HS) - 1.09 ERA in 49 innings, 29 hits allowed and 50 K's.

Austin Edens (Samford/St. Michael HS) - NCAA All-American, has 42 career homers at Samford as a power-hitting first baseman.

JT Mauldin (BRCC/St. Michael HS) - Leads BRCC in every hitting category and was named the #1 prospect in Southern Cali League last summer. UNO signee as a CF.

Taylor Schwarner (SELU/Holy Cross HS) - Leads SELU in every hitting category as the Lions 3B.

Ross Massey (Tulane/Catholic HS) - NCAA Freshman All-American last year with 90 innings of 2.29 ERA ball. But has struggled with command this year.

Travis Swaggerty (South Alabama/Denham Springs HS) - NCAA Freshman All-American last year and leads South Al in almost every hitting category this year. 5-tool guy.

I'm sure I missed some. Just seems like way too many guys from right here in our backyard going to other schools and having success.
We all knew a guy like Mascona in high school, and no matter how hard he tries, he will never be cool.
We slipped into bizzarro world today, gents.

Anderson Cooper leading the panel. All comments either neutral or positive toward this decision.

Strange times indeed.
Investigating the true height of Will Wade seems like a topic tailor-made for the Rant
What else is going in that shopping center?
Romney was right about a lot of things, but this is how he will be remembered:

Well yeah, it's day 3.

 but you know what I meant. Most divisions have 3-4 teams with a roster capable of winning it, whereas in years past you could pencil NYY to win the AL East, the Cards to win the NL Central, etc.

MLB has their stuff together

-Great product with an incredible amount of young talent
-Several teams in contention, lots of divisional intrigue
-A return to grass infields, all breathtakingly manicured
-MLB.tv and MLB At Bat apps are awesome user experiences
-Statcast technology, need I say more?

This was the most enjoyable Opening Day that I can remember.
