Durant is great and there is no question, but I think Lebron's body mass gives him the slight edge over Durant. I am not sure if this makes sense, but I am just saying that he will be damn close, but I think something like a physical trait will be the only thing you could use to argue that Lebron is better.

I would still not watch NASCAR.

Since someone mentioned spicy I do notice this when I am able to listen to him (when I do its for about 15-20 mins). One time it sounded like he was lusting for some woman he was interviewing. I feel bad for Wilson if this Buddy guy interviews him the same why he was interviewing that lady.

Buddy the sports talk guy? Ive listened to him when I come to BR and I hope he doesnt set the bar for sports talk around there. Ive never heard the word karma used so much in a short period of time in my life.

Damn, I was looking at C Henne and for whatever reason I thought it was Chris. Hopefully by this time next year he will be a household name.

So do you think he will be worth keeping? Since it is a keeper league all of the top QBs are not available and I always like to have my QB so that I can use my picks for WRs.

Has it gone up since the Dolphins picked up Marshall? I am in a keeper league and he is my backup QB, I can still keep him. My other QB is Big Ben...

re: Issue with Miles contract

1) Miles will be owed the remaining terms of his contract if he is fired without cause. That's $3.75M/year for 4 years (2010-2014 since he got an extension as of the 8th win this season against LaTech). That means his buyout will be ~$15M

2) The buyout can be paid out over twice the time he's under contract. That means it can be split over 8 years at $1.875M/year unless he gets another job in which we have to pay the difference in his salary to bring him to $3.75M.
3) Miles will continue to get a one year extension for every season he goes at least 8-5. Given our general cupcake OOC, he basically needs to go 5-4 in the SEC and bowl games to get another $3.75M reset on his buyout. Next season we have two rent-a-wins OOC and two average OOC in WVU and UNC.

4) We'd have to think we'd have to replace at least half the staff so that's more money for buying out fired coaches.

The question then becomes is LSU set up to get 8 wins a year without problem. If so, then when Miles would be fired, money-wise, becomes irrelevant since he'll keep getting an extension (which actually may slightly bump up his salary).

In the end, LSU has to think how far they are willing to allow LSU to drop before making a change. We would at best save $3.75 Million if Miles were to go 7-6 or worse next season. Otherwise, we'll be in the same cycle every year.

This will be a tough decision, and while I feel Miles is a decent coach, this isn't a rash decision to make given his winning record and national/SEC titles. LSU better also have someone they know will be a sure-fire success in hand before pulling such a trigger, because its going to be tough to sell LSU to other coaches.

I have no dog in this hunt, but let's look at this part objectively. What's the odds that if you do fire him, he doesn't take another job elsewhere? In the end, it becomes the same money, since LSU has to only pay the difference in salary.

So let's assume he is hired by, say, Baylor. They obviously have to pay him something, although it could be very low with the current status of his contract.

My point is it is virtually impossible for you to have to pay that buyout in full. More than likely, you have to foot about 60% of it. So, if you deduct 40% of the 15 million, you get 9 mil over 8 years. So tell me why you can't pay a new coach 2.5mil, and eat 1.1 for Les. Aren't you still spending similar money?

Do you guys truly believe you were the better team on the field last night?

Your offense is better than ours this year, but our defense is better than your defense.

2) Do you truly believe that had Miles called the timeout when 24 seconds were still on the clock, that the outcome would have been different?

Changing the game by calling a time out earlier, we probably don't complete the hailmary--your right.

While we weren't the better team last night, we are the better program and will continue to challange for SEC Championships, while your Rebels have no chance at an SEC championship--no flame intended.

It would be difficult to argue any of your points, except the one about your defense being better. You are without question the better program. You will, in most years, challenge for SEC and National titles. I just don't believe either will happen with Miles at the helm. It is his players now, and IMO, there is a noticeable difference in your talent level from just 2 years ago.

As for your defense being better, numbers simply don't support that. You can say stats don't matter, but I disagree when taken over 10 games. We are allowing 310 yds/game. You are allowing 322. We are allowing 16.5 ppg. You are allowing 14.7. Those numbers seem to me to show two defenses that are very similar. In fact, I believe our front seven are much better than yours, with you having an astronomical advantage in the secondary.

Look Reb... Just count your blessings and don't get too cocky. Ole Miss didn't look like much last night. LSU just happened to look worse

Im certainly not being cocky.....as much as you would like to believe it, im not that guy. I don't hate LSU. I hate Alabama. Im not sure how you could say that we didn't play well. We had 440 yards of offense, didn't turn the ball over, and had virtually every bounce go against us. And still found a way to win it.

And let's be honest.....us playing well in VH against LSU doesn't happen often. We typically play you much better in Baton Rouge for whatever reason.

Hands down McCluster was the best football player on the field for either team. And just think, he was seconds away from being the biggest goat for letting the onsides kick go right by him allowing LSU to recover. That would have been the dumb*uck play of the game.

Actually, no. He did what he was supposed to do. The ball was too hot for a frontline guy to make a play on it. It was a terrific kick that took the perfect bounce for you. Do you really think Dex could have made that play being that close to it?

This shows how retarded you are.

Do you think there is a really good chance that we miss a 25 yard FG to win the game?

No, I dont think you would have missed a 25 yard FG. But, to assume you are in that same position if it plays out differently is strictly guessing.

IMO, you should have run the ball twice from the 30, and taken your chances with your FG unit from there.
1)Do you guys truly believe you were the better team on the field last night?

2) Do you truly believe that had Miles called the timeout when 24 seconds were still on the clock, that the outcome would have been different?

I just don't see how you could say yes to either of these. You were significantly outgained, lost TOP by a wide margin, had no running game, and threw for 90+ yards of your passing yardage at the end of the game, including the hail mary.

I don't disagree that is was a blunder by Miles with time management, but IMO, and it's nothing more than that, you were lucky to be in the game at that point. With the two early TD's called back, both on extremely questionable calls, and a bloced FG that bounces perfectly for Lafell to return, you were able to stay in a game that I think the better team won.

I truly am not flaming.....hell, the last thing I want to see is Miles gone and Tuberville brought in. Im just curious if you guys felt like you were the better team last night.
