re: What Is Working Class?

There was a time where "working class" meant someone who worked a 9-5 manufacturing or plant job and still could afford a tidy house in a middle-class neighborhood, have a wife who didn't need to work, or only worked part-time, and a couple of kids. They could afford a small vacation every couple of years, and kept their kids fed and clothed (though not always name-brand) and the family was proud of what they had and took care of their things and didn't need government assistance to make ends meet, even though there were tough times.

I am in my mid 20s, so I did not live through that era. However, this is exactly what I thought the working class was.

Why hasn't this happened already.

Go look up a TV series titled Gangland. It was shown on the History channel.

MS-13 is terribly violent. They make BLM look like a dog and pony show.

I think you mean areas, just pointing it out.

Overall, I think you have a smart plan. I look forward to the demand side of the issue.

I think the biggest issue is dealing with the lobbyists who benefit directly from the PC nonsense.

Why not put it in the middle of our nation. Relocate the Capitol to the State of Kansas

If you are black and don't meet the requirements, don't expect much either.

If you are black, you may be able to get some minority scholarships to help you. However, I can tell you from experience, that a lot of those scholarships are skewed for low income people (like <20k/year) and tend to be for only certain schools.
Granted, I don't have any experience directly at the plant. I have been working in construction. However I know the money is great ($120K +).

I just don't want to invest in the program if it doesn't give me hands experience with a company.

I am considering changing careers. Does anyone know about the placement rate of the Process Technology program at Delta in Monroe.

I was hoping to do some sort of Co-op with a plant while finishing the program.
