They probably were going to war. That’s the only reason a guard unit would be going to Fort Polk.

During the first gulf war I was watching the news and the story was about an army guard unit in Shreveport about to get deployed, they had the cameras out while they were loading up, families there all boudeting , very touching scene, turns out they were being “deployed” to Ft. Polk for the weekend

My LANG unit deployed to Afghanistan in ‘02 after a one month stop at fort Polk for a crash course in combat readiness. And to address the OP, we didn’t hop a plane straight from the airport to an undeveloped base in Afghanistan. I’m not sure how it’s done now, but back then no one when into the Middle East without first passing through Germany for in-processing.
I’ve never heard anyone refer to an active duty assignment in Europe as a deployment. That’s not what “deployment” is and that’s not what guardsmen are used for. Those locations are already staffed by active duty personnel who are “stationed” there.
I understand the distinctions you’re making and you’re exactly right. Anyone who’s related to or knows any hardcore old south white democrats should be able to understand. Anyone younger than that who has no historical perspective won’t grasp it. Yes language and definitions are very important so mislabeling and thus improperly identifying the enemy is a victory for them. Anyone who argues otherwise just doesn’t understand what you’re saying.

What you’re doing here is called dehumanization. It’s an attempt to silence and exert control over those you disagree with by dehumanizing them. It is a common leftist tactic that is highly illiberal and antithetical to ideals of individual freedom and natural rights. If you want to know more about the errors in your thinking, read up on Hitler and the Nazi party.
Operators are the experts of their unit, from an operational and technical standpoint (depending on the type of unit, company, etc). They're the ones who know what all the thousands pipes and pieces of equipment contain which is pretty important if you're dealing with volatile chemicals and steam at unfathomable high pressures and temperatures. If there is a leak or fire, they're the ones who know how/where to respond and isolate it. For example, the average guy on the street has no comprehension of the destructive power of say 1500 psi steam and would shite his pants at the sight and sound of said pipe blowing out.
A dumbass or lazy arse wouldn't last too long where I work. Yes there is a lot of down time but when you see us sitting around it means we've achieved our goal of optimizing the plant and maximizing feed rates.
There are Operators with high school diplomas, ptech, and 4 year degrees.
Then this tidbit probably won't help either. If her triplets are fraternal and if she had multiple sex partners while ovulating the babies could potentially be fathered by multiple men.
Congratulations OP. My wife and I have fraternal triplets that occurred spontaneously without fertility treatment so it can happen. They're now in preschool and it hasn't gotten any easier yet. It's without a doubt a life changing event. Outside support is very helpful whether it be family or hired help. It's like living in a daycare 24/7.
There are lots of triplet parent support communities...I'd recommend starting there.

The article clearly says the baby was in a bouncy.

Nice to hear you can spell "melt". What else did you learn before dropping out of the 4th grade? You clearly can't have had a high school education if you're too stupid to know how to spell despise.

That's a joke too huh?

There is absolutely no other major economy other than deforestation or oil, which are both down at the moment.

You're leaving a major player out. Louisiana's chemical manufacturing industry is very strong and for the most part insulated from oil related downturns.
Can any politician or piece of legislation create sweeping change in these communities? I thought this was right in Obama's wheelhouse with "hope and change"?
The ugly truth is that this type of transformation can only come from within and will be generational in scale. The uglier truth is that the status quo guarantees a voting bloc.
