As things stand he's one of the great talents of his generation, but he will not be mentioned among the "all-time greats" in CFB unless he simply accomplishes something impossible (like 250 ypg for the rest of the season and a bunch of game-winning TDs, etc). It's not on him. It wasn't in the cards with the way our offense has been run.

He can redeem the time in the NFL for sure. The kid can have a hall-of-fame career as an RB in a passing era with the talent he possesses.

Idiots. I hope Leonard goes into Bama 100% healthy and with a chip on his shoulder and I hope the coaches scheme to his strengths. Busting 150+ in a win against Bama would put him back in the Heisman convo. Long-shot, but in the conversation.

I don't know how the rest of the season is going to play out and I won't say that Coach O should get the nod automatically even if we run the table. But if he finishes 7-0 or 6-1 he has to be at or near the top of any short-list we have.

Honest answer? Fournette probably could have better flourished in a more competent offensive scheme. Did "Miles cost him a Heisman," however? Who knows. I've seen less talented football players shine at shittier schools. He was superb for most of the year, but the best defensive mind in CFB has a system built around stopping the power run. And he stopped Fournette--in no small part because he knew we weren't multi-dimensional and he knew where to focus his defense.

This is dumb. Let's try to see where this season takes us.
