Realistically, I see the Badgers going 2-2. My heart wants it to be 3-1 or 4-0 though.

@MSU (W) - we rarely play state these days with conference realignment, and even rarer that we play them in Michigan. Last time we played them in EL they beat us on one of the most flukey hail mary's I've ever seen. Even flukey-er than the CMU OkSt game. I think UW wins that game in EL to pay them back for the last time they bluffed us. Plus, I just don't see how their offense is any better than ours.

@Michigan (L) - This game worries me. We haven't played Michigan since a 2010 win against them when they were in the dumps of CFB. We'll be in the Big House, Harbaugh (or coach douche as I like to call him) will have his guys pumped as they will more than likely be undefeated going into that game with CFB playoff implications.

OSU (?) - As the previous Badger posted, the margin of victory between OSU and UW in Madison is usually touchdown, if not less. We beat OSU when they were #1 in 2010, lost to them in Columbus on a hail mary prayer in 2011, lost in OT in 2012 and got our shite rocked in that fateful B1G championship game (which was really just a conspiracy to job a B1G team into the playoff for the first time, look it up). We owe them a heartbreak in Camp Randall. It's about due. Or, they beat us by 3 touchdowns. Who knows.

@Iowa (W) - F Iowa. We own them. They go to one Rose Bowl and get their shite rocked and all of the sudden everyone pretends like they're superior to UW because they had one good season with a cupcake schedule. We'll beat them in Kinnick like we do every other year.

2-2 is my prediction, 3-1 is my hope, 4-0 is my dream. There you have it, Tigers. Best of luck.

Y'alls obsession with this 4/5 star recruit stuff is depressing. It doesn't mean anything if you don't produce on the field. Wisco has made a long history of doing more with less. In fact, a good amount of the guys we've sent to the NFL started as walk-ons.

If you want anything in life, you have to work for it. Just because you're an All-American in HS doesn't mean shite once you get on that field.

All that said -- Les or someone on that staff must not be harnessing that talent (USC is a prime example of this), because whoooo-weee they're doing it up at Ohio State, Bama, FSU, Clemson and Michigan.

LOL. With the exception of our 2015 loss to Iowa at home (our qb Stave fumbled on the goal line of what would've been a game winning touchdown), we've owned Iowa in the past 5 years.

In the past 5 years, it's 1. OSU 2. MSU/Wisc with the edge to MSU for the recent post season success 3. Michigan, with them obviously being on the upturn.

If we're talking straight up best teams (Not "talent", you guys seem to get that confused), it's OSU, MICH, MSU, WISC, IOWA.

Don't be surprised when we go into MSU and beat them. Not as sure about @Michigan. OSU at home is always decided by a touchdown, historically. @Iowa will be a tough game, but we'll be battle tested and they'll be playing cupcakes.

It's a slap in the face to call Iowa a better program than Wisconsin currently. That's like saying Arky is better than LSU, which is total shite.

OSU, Mich, Iowa are all better for sure. Mich St be a toss up
I think y'all have valid arguments about Les Miles' ineptitude at coaching, Harris' lack of play recognition and the uninspired play.

But Wisconsin won the B1G championship three years in a row from 2010-2012. Also, they are Top 10 in wins within the last 10 years. Look it up. I'll let y'all put the loss on LSU and not on Wisconsin, but don't sit here and say things that just aren't true.

LSU should never lose this game. Wisconsin is middle of road Big10 team
Settle down there cowboy.

Oh there's no question in my mind that LSU has more NFL level talent than us. Our identity isn't really hinged on bringing up big NFL prospects though. As a result, we don't get a lot of big name guys.

Basically we just like to throw the ball over the seam to our TEs, push the pile with a big O Line, mix in a few play action passes, and wear teams down with our D. As long as we get guys who fit that system, we'll continue to win 10 games a season (probably not this season though, we still have to travel to U M, MSU and Iowa).

Not to say our D is the "end all be all", but don't count out LF7 for the Heisman yet. Getting 140 yards against that run D is going to mean he'll go for 200 plus a couple of times this season.

I saw some really good things out of your Dline and LBs. Believe me when I say your LBs are going to be in the opposing teams backfield quite a bit this season. And you're going to LOVE it.

I'm just pumped to see our O line working hard in that first game. They're young, but if they stay the course they're going to be one of the classic Wisconsin OLines in a year or two. Whoever gets to run behind them is going to be damn lucky.
Trust me, any Wisconsin fan with a brain knows that JJ is a huge douche. Always doing things for attention and has absolutely zero style. I'm sure the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. We have our qualms about Russell Wilson too, but at the end of the day they're some of the best players we've ever had.

Wisky is a classy bunch and deserved to win, but TJ Watt is an insufferable douche bag like his brother.

Sidenote: DB U is no joke. When Bart Houston threw that pick 6, I was thinking "Oh shite. Here we go again."

:banghead:
Our Offense has and will continue to be a huge question mark. So as far as playing teams like UM and OSU, we are in trouble.

quote:

Wisconsin will be OK this year but let's face it, both of our teams are in trouble this year. We have a mash unit as an OLine, a third year QB who is indecisive, a HC and OC without a clue and still probably should have won the game. Neither team should be proud of the performances yesterday.

On the Boutte hit: we aren't too concerned. Well, I guess that's just my take. Cheap shots happen and it was a heat of the moment thing. I don't think it's indicative of the type of person Boutte is - I'm sure he's a fine lad. If Dixon got seriously injured, yea I'd be pissed. But he didn't. No harm no foul.
It was a pleasure tailgating and drinking with y'all. All of my friends around the stadium agreed, Tiger fans were a fun bunch and easy to get along with. Many beers were shotgunned with the purple and yellow, and that's how it's done. I hope you'll all come back to Wisco, whether it be for a game or for leisure. Much respect on that side.

As for the game, if you're a Tiger fan, it just stinks. Harris really didn't rise to the occasion or show much improvement from last season. You're D played pretty damn good, especially for it being y'alls first game under Aranda. The Badgers had a pretty steep learning curve under him too, and a few of those first games were pretty shaky, but he is as good as advertised so come SEC play he'll clean some things up.

Lastly, it's tough now, but don't give up on the season. If y'all start taking care of business in the SEC, look out. No reason why the Tigers can't keep competing for a playoff spot.

My homer tidbit: The Badgers are a lot better than people give us credit for. Our D is going to keep us in games with a lot of the best teams, win or lose. They've proven that over the course of 3 years now. We feel lucky to win that game.

All in all, much respect to Tiger fans. I hope to see you all again. Good luck with the rest of the season!
