What would you say was your favorite part of the trip? What did you like best about the stadium/pregame experience?
I did enjoy the French Quarter in New Orleans and we also did a really fun swamp tour in Laffite.
The highlight of the game for me was watching the team and band come down the hill and then out of the tunnel for the game with the marching band playing and everything was really cool!
My experience to DV

I always hear stories of Americans being rude or ignorant. I did not experience any of that down here in Baton Rouge. From tailgating at the stadium down to New Orleans everyone we met and talked to treated us like we were family. The southern hospitality was unbelievable. I want to thank everyone for making us feel welcome.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time down here in Louisiana. The tailgating was an unbelievable experience and the food was delicious. The first time I had Jambalaya and Gumbo, I am going to find a receipe and make some for the folks back home
We watched the team and bands come down the hill. I love the traditions that come with LSU games. The bands pre-game and half time show were great and it makes the game more enjoyable.
For the game we sat in the Tiger Terrace right at the 50 yard line. Great seats! We tried to learn Alma Mater before the game but we didn't learn quick enough, good thing they had the lyrics on the video board
I will for sure be coming down to LSU for another game and hope to make it a yearly tradition.
Thanks again for all the tips and tricks, food, booze and hospitality you guys helped make the trip of a lifetime!

I am hoping to catch the band and team march down the hill! Where do I go for that? Indian Mounds?
Well so far I have been very impressed with the southern hospitality down here. The city and surrounding area is beautiful. Look forward to all the festivities and tailgating today. We will have some Canada gear on so if you see us around don't be shy! We've brought down some Canadian whiskey for anyone to try. Lets get a win tonight! :geauxtigers:
Looking at the temperatures if I wear that I might melt haha. Hopefully the beer stays cold
Thanks!
LSU Apparel

Is the LSU shop at the stadium open on regular week days? The only LSU apparel is stuff for Canadian winters and it will be much to warm to wear to the game Saturday. If the shop is not open where can I find a store that sells The apparel. I was looking on LSUShop.net
I am from Alberta,
Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on that!

The weather channel says you will only hit 32 on Oct. 5th and are in the 60's during the daytime. You are one of those truth stretching baws
Forgot the weather channel was right 100% of the time and you know my exact location. ;)

It looks like it will be fun. Are you allowed to drink in the stadium? I am thinking of bringing some real liquor... I mean Canadian booze for people to try while we are tailgating.

Should be plenty of mizzou fans enjoying their first LSU tailgate also.
I don't want to associate with the enemy ;)

Canadians First Time to Death Valley
Posted by LJT84 on 9/27/16 at 12:54 am
Well we are less then one week away from my first LSU Tigers football game and I can not wait! A little bit worrysome with all the recent changes but am going to try and keep positive and hope to get the best expirence possible. I just have a few questions regarding what we should do on Saturday before the game starts. Are we allowed to bring backpacks and purses into the stadium? I have been to some places who do not allow it. I hope to buy some souvenirs and the game so bringing a backpack will make life easier. Where can we go to see the team come down the hill? What are some pre-game festivities we should check out? What will the temperature be like for a night time game? ( We have snow and 32 degree weather where I am from at this time of the year.) As well as any ideas for stuff to do outside of football for tourist as we are there for 5 days would be great.
Thanks! :geauxtigers:

One week away. Any more insight on stuff to do while we are in town as well would be great.
Wow that sounds great! I am hoping we get to do it. It will be an experience of a lifetime it sounds like.

Locker Room and Stadium Tours

Hey guys,
I am coming down from Canada on Sept 29 - Oct 3 and will be in town for the Oct 1st game. I would really like to do a stadium and locker room tour. Where can I find more information about that?

Just curious. Do you have a device like a roku, chromecast, firetv/firestick?
No I don't. Is it something I should look into?
