What does the Congressional investigation of the attack on the USS Liberty have to say about the alleged Israeli claim of "mistaken identity?"
What does the IDF History Department 1982 Report on the USS Liberty attack have to say about the alleged Israeli claim of "mistaken identity?"

A more appropriate question for an American audience is why has the US government refused to investigate the attack on the USS Liberty?

Why would the media be talking about this when they are busy doing a stellar job covering the pressing issues facing this nation now?
It's not old news at all. The US government allowed a foreign government to commit war crimes during the attack on the USS Liberty with impunity.
With the US in a de facto constant state of war for decades and with the oft-repeated claim from Members of Congress of how much they honor and support the Military/Veteran community the question of what other countries will be allowed to commit war crimes against the United States with impunity is definitely on the table and timely.
