Anyone remember Katamari Damacy?
A Luke Cage/Iron Fist movie seems like it'd have Tarentino written all over it.

Who do y'all peg for a good fit to direct a Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth adaptation? Not something loosely based on it like the Arkham games, someone who could manage to make a faithful(ish) adaptation.
Anyone have any opinions on Legend of the Galactic Heroes? I see it pop up here and there on various corners of the internet, but a lot of the stuff I've read seems sorta vague.
Country radio's been pretty irrelevant for a while now. What was it that guy from Sony Nashville said, “If you’re not on country radio, you don’t exist”? This being right before Aaron Watson hit #1 with The Underdog?

Not sure if it'll actually collapse on itself quite yet, but it's nice to dream.

Oh right, suggestions:
Dwight Yoakam (been mentioned already, his recent material is phenomenal and worth checking out)
First Aid Kit
Hellbound Glory
Jason Boland
Karen Jonas
Justin Townes Earle
Tami Neilson
The Defibulators
Doug Seegers
Hank Williams III
On Netflix:
If you're wanting something unabashedly over-the-top, Gurren Lagann's a lot of fun. Action series that doesn't takes itself very seriously, probably not what you're looking for if you want something more serious but it's a crazy ride and great for what it is.

In the same vein, Kill la Kill's a great high-octane action series. Gloriously tacky, kinda sleazy (though that's sort of the point), just all sorts of insanity.

Rurouni Kenshin's a pain to get through at times (at least for the first few episodes), but the drama's great where it exist. Gets derailed by the token "wacky" humor, the great moments and story make it worth it though.

Also, I've been meaning to look into Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Internet makes it sound vague, anyone got an opinion on it?
Real shame to see him pass. Guy did a killer collab album with Willie last year, real sad that he sounded like he had a good bit left in him.

Man was a damn fine songwriter, could play the hell out of someone else's song just as well though. Some favorites of both;

Ramblin' Fever

San Antonio Rose

Misery and Gin

Seashores of Old Mexico

Reasons to Quit (with Willie)

RIP Haggard, you will be dearly missed.

How's the new Fire Emblem?

I'm a fan of the series, but Awakening was trash in every aspect other than UI. I've heard relatively good things about Fates, but I'm skeptical (children mechanic back for no reason, plot reads like bad fanfiction, localization changes look weird and necessary, etc).

Anyone have an opinion on it?
He's pretty great, not top 10 material though. Hell, you could probably make a top 10 of country artists from his home state that are above him.
