We have a Gunfighter 1 on June 18th. There is not a pre req.
Yea we have a pretty impressive group of instructors. I think anyone who comes out to shoot a class will be impressed with the quality of the training, the trainers, and the overall experience.
The mischarcterization of people who want to be prepared to defend themselves, with a gun, in a violent encounter, as fantasy heroes is pretty silly. The amount of data that's been complied on the subject of trained persons and their performance in gunfights vs. untrained persons is definitive.
Hopefully everyone that shot the class this
weekend learned a lot and enjoyed themselves. Thank you for spending the weekend with us!
Afraid not. It doesn't involve me so I don't waste the time knowing.
Sure we do those classes for agencies in Louisana, Miss, and Texas. If you or you agency are interested just PM me.
We do LE specific courses all the time. In general though, shooting is shooting is shooting. The mechanics, fundamentals, and processes required to succeed in a gunfight are the same for cops and non-cops. There is no special sauce. Almost without exception civilians who shoot as a hobby or passion shoot better than the cops I see.
I don't think you understand what we do very well. Come take a class, on me. I think you will be suprised. I get FBI Agents, Cops, Master Class IPSC Shooters, and guys with SOF Credentials in the basic classes. The fundamentals don't change and everyone needs work on them. The best shooters in the world work at being brilliant in the basics.
The intro course is designed to give you a baseline introduction to the skills required to competently manipulate and employ a carbine as a self defense tool. We've found that students who attend the class are able to accomplish more in the Carbine 1 and 2 programs because they have already gained some productive repetitions on skills like safety manipulation, stance, grip, and zeroing. The classes also serve as a low cost in ammo, cash, and time introduction to what we do at Advantage Group. Anyone who comes out will get more than their money's worth.
