They’re not looking around to see if a coach is watching them and then exert themselves in conditioning drills.

This is all you need to know in order to understand why Nuss is not the guy.
I was thinking about this the other day. It was not fun football to watch, but it feels like we were bigger/faster/stronger under Les. But please, don’t bring him back. My blood pressure wouldn’t be able to take it…

but I think it's amateurish to do this on every single drive.

^this.
Nuss spent too much time reading all the rave reviews about him being a “gunslinger.” Instead, he should’ve been working on his accuracy and mechanics. The kid needs a reality check.

We can’t blame Nuss entirely

Agree, the defense is still atrocious, plain and simple. Or, lets be specific, it’s not what we had from 2005-2015. But our QB play (had it been better) could have earned us wins against both A&M and Florida had it been more accurate…

I hope jerk fans don’t run him off

No one is hoping to “run him off.” He’s an uber talent. But the kid needs to grow up and stop throwing deep balls just for the hell of it. He’s got to actually see the path of the receiver, which he has yet to hit.

No. Is the offensive line. If you don't have one Worth mentioning except two tackles that Are decent at blocking, you can't have an offense. No run game no pass game. Nothing

Pretty sure we entered this game with among the fewest sacks allowed in the SEC this season…

It’s the constant “gunslinger” posts like this that give him undeserved confidence…

Anything intelligent to say? Or just “screw it”?
Reading these replies, it feels like the best path forward is to cook a good gumbo, enjoy these few cold weeks, and hope for a better season next year…
All I’m saying is the “gunslinger” reputation has got to his head and he needs to smarten up. His downfield throws will NOT get him to the next level. He needs to stop acting like he’s Joe Montana and start playing SMARTER.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not endorsing BK. But has anyone seen worse downfield passing that Nuss?!?

Edit: I want all of our recruits to feel welcomed and supported! But ALL OF THEM need to pay attention to on-the-field activities and NOT to the ‘experts’ on the internet like us who call them ‘gunslingers.’
There’s nothing a “players only meeting will do.” This season is over so f*** it. Time to just cook a gumbo, enjoy the cold weather, and look forward to next year.
Not by end of season. Let’s be realistic. He’ll have two more years. I don’t agree with it, I’d fire his a** today. But money talks.
We definitely have a fickle fan base. Can't speak much for other teams. But I've actually heard Bama has some malcontents.
