Planet Powersports in BR

Has anyone used these guys for service or repairs? Any word on if they are a quality operation?
Definitely Steve Riggins at Bear Creek! Great family operation!
Gillen knows his stuff. Great guy that does not always walk around drinking the purple and gold kool-aid. Just remember the lucky "Mad Hatter" wins already this year that could easily given us a few losses. A win over Bama will change a lot of peoples minds, probably even Gillens!
A beast mixed with the entergizer bunny! He never gives up and is always around the ball! Seems his playing time is increasing every game!

I have used them before and they did not take my money. Best interest rates around and easy online transactions. I would use again!

Car Taxes

Posted by LSUSVM02 on 5/19/10 at 5:45 am
I have a question about taxes on a used vehicle when you are trading in your old vehicle. I live in LA and if I am buying a used car for $30,000 and have a trade in of $10,000 so would my taxes be on $30,000 or $20,000. Thanks for your help!

We use peachtree. The accounting work will be payroll organization (we have payroll company that cuts checks), 401K, insurances, bills, organization of bills for tax purposes, profit loss statements, ect. We actually run two businesses so the paperwork is getting hectic.

I am looking toward building a longterm relationship. I have a great CPA that is slowing down due to health concerns that will still do all the taxes. I do not feel a staffing agency is the direction I want to go.

This is going to be a long term position. I do not have enough for a full time accountant but I am looking for someone to grow with me, about 20 hours per week. He or she could work me into or around their schedule. I do not need someone to be here the same time everyday, it could vary. Thanks and keep the help and questions coming!

Recommendations on Accountant

My business is needing to bring on an in-house accountant. We are looking for a part-time person to help with receivables, payables, and payroll. If you have any recommendations that would be great! Earlier on this board someone mentioned a father and daughter group that they used?

Property Taxes

Posted by LSUSVM02 on 6/17/09 at 9:38 pm
Is the property tax based on the value of the land or the land and what is on it? If I have 2 pieces of land next to one another, one with a nice house on it and the other nothing but dirt and the same size lot, would the taxes in EBR be the same? Thanks for your help, I am new at the property tax thing!

I will be using a contractor. Is it easier and simplier to get a loan if you use a mortgage broker?

I am also in the market soon. Any help in whether I should be looking into a broker or a bank for financing would be a great help. I have heard that loans can be tricky. Let's keep the thread going!
