I agree…and college football is best when it is about the journey and not the destination. Greed destroys everything. I like the mythical title..but top 2 ain’t too bad either.

Yes. OU is definitely one of the best 20 teams in the country. Maybe ten. Those freakish turnovers won’t keep happening. With that said….they have to beat Kentucky or none of what I said will be true.

Wow…they have only one game left against teams that have at some point not been ranked in the top 10, and that is a road game. Plus, 3 teams they have already played were at one time in the top 10. So in the end, they are playing 8 games v a top 10 team.

In football, iron doesn’t sharpen iron…it sends people to the injured list. This is just another reason why 9 games can be bad. It’s a physical game every week…the team you start with may not look like the one you end with. In football…injury luck is more important than coaching

You were a very average program and every once in awhile you would be good. But to your point…it has been several generations since you have had a stretch (minus a couple of years) where you have been as bad as the last 15 years. Just know…you were never Alabama…or Tennessee…or Georgia…or Auburn….you were Ole Miss, Missouri, Iowa, and Colorado.

Hog fans are the worst. The few times they have been good the last 50 years they were unbearable…and they think they are traditionally Alabama but just going through hard times….for 45 of the last 50 years.

I don’t think Reed is any worse. Last year the skilled people around him were exceptionally good and they won with defense as well. Reed is who he is.

The first prime time game…what a great game. I didn’t know as I watched it was history. Just a jr high kid. Introduced to Archie Manning. I watched between having to go to the cotton trailer to tramp down the cotton when my Dad dumped a load from the cotton picker into the trailer. Only one year removed from hand picking our cotton on the family farm.

Not a fan of the Sooners…but they are better than they showed last week…much better. Defensively they are maybe the best in the co ference. I think the Michigan game was a fluke. They will definitely win 8….maybe 9. 9 depends on the Texas game.
