I saw him out in Willamantic last night, and he seemed to be having a good time.

It was garbage time and he is considered a bust up here in New England. The bit about him crying on the bench did him in with the Boston fans.
I hope so. A good friend of mine is an Oregon fan and he doesnt miss Crowton one bit
Fouts was awful. He wanted every penelty to be declined. I'll take the normal two any time.
wouldnt music city be more likely

This coaching staff couldn't handle retooling from last year............2009 may be worse.

Offense

Still a relatively inexperienced QB situation

And snapping the ball to these QBs is a center with ZERO experince. Helms & backup Miller gone, T-Bob injured

Lose probably starting G, T, & C

Fullback with basically ZERO experience

Defense

Lose both starting DEs and if Alexander doesn't get med RS lose him, RGF, & Favorite

Lose starting ML & S

Special Teams

Colt David....nuff said

Hey, doesn't look like much. We can just reload. Yeah, that's what I said before this year.

Plenty of talent on defense, its all about coaching.

QB and O line is an issue.

How much experience does a FB need? I would have to think that is the easiest position on the field to learn. Not sure there is much read and react with a FB.

Overall I think experience is overrated in the modern age. Talent is more important.

I thought Dinardo was very approachable.

He really lost me when explaining why a punt return that went for almost 100 yards by saying that you cant blame the LSU players since most of them play offense and cant be expected to tackle well.

Only been through a few LSU coaches, but Dinardo really wanted love from the fan base.

I'll have to defer to Coach Miles on that one.

re: LSU at Arkansas Prediction Thread

A healthy Ark team could win.

The team taking the field on Friday is in real trouble.

Arky is more than just beat up.

Look at who is/might be missing the game.

Dumb assumptions about Ark

Posted by Edawik on 11/26/08 at 12:35 am
The Arky team that beat Auburn and Tulsa will not be playing against LSU on Friday.

LSU has its issues and an Ark team at its best this season could easily win on Friday.

Ark is very banged up right now. Michael Smith might be the most underrated RB in the SEC and wont be playing this weekend. Casey Dick had a concusion last weekend and his little brother Nate might be starting. Several players starting on defense for Ark were hurt in the last 2 games. Two DL starters were suspended this past week.

Ark has worse defensive numbers than LSU and they will be missing key personel

Dont assume that because LSU wins by 10 they fixed their problems. They're just catching a a young team that is really beat up.

If you like money take LSU -4.5

New SEC Television Contract

Posted by Edawik on 11/23/08 at 9:42 am
I know lots of people blame the LSU playing all their SEC games at 2:30 for the results. Not sure that point has too much merit, but does anyone know some of the details about the new contract for next year?

From what I have heard CBS will be airing a SEC national game of the week during primetime every week next year, and that ESPN will also have a SEC in primetime every week.

Anyone know what the deal is with that?

DAC is still alive? I would love to hear some first hand accounts of his latest show in BR. How drunk was he?

I hate that General Sherman was the first. Bastid!

There is actually a little memorial dedicated to William T. Sherman on the present day LSU campus. Not many people know where it is, but when I bring people to the LSU campus I point it out. Mostly because most people dont realize that the villian of the war of nothern aggression had ties to the south.
I really dont think LSU is going to win both of their last 2. Truth be told, I am glad they wont have to play in the cotton.
IMO, LSU needs to go out and get the best D. Cor. money can buy. Get this turned around as quickly as possible, before the talent level drops off.
I've been thinking Music City Bowl for a long time now. I know the Cotton bowl has a new date and time that is better than the old 10am on new years day, but I still dont want to go there.

I want to go to nashville and play on new years eve.
LSU has had some major talent over the past 4 to 5 years. it's a program loaded with potential. If you look at results over the past 7 years talent at QB has been the major factor in results.

That being said, this years LSU team is not playing up to its potential. Not since Saban's first year has an LSU team so under-performed.
This is silly on so many levels.

First there are about 12 people on the team who have had the opportunity to catch a pass this year. Not as many called upon or capable of throwing one. WR's and RB's can earn or lose playing time based on performance much easier than a QB can. Its the nature of the position.

Secondly,
in 2001 MM only had a significant role in only one game that year. It was the SECCG, and basically he ran the ball up the gut the whole time. Phat Phil was too dumb to make a defensive adjustment, and when the LB's and secondary got sucked in trying to stop MM from running the ball MM completed what 3 or 4 passess set up by the running game?

Thirdly, MM was like 25 years old at the time. There is something to be said for maturity at the QB position.
