No, most are not LSU fans.
In fact, don't wear LSU colors to a game or you will get dogged as my son did years ago and fans didn't like it. He was 9.
Have you looked at their fan base? Most are crazy Nola people.
I do pull for the Saints.
It drives my family crazy, but I see them as a local team so I'm pulling for them.

No, they don't play for him.
Nola beat the Mets last night 6-4 in NY.
Miss that guy!
I agree with this thougnt process.
You can't have all your top hitters at the top and struggle through the bottom.
Give it some life and get a guy on for the top of the order.
I do think CPM moved him due to lack of hitting, but it worked.
I've heard coaches say the 8 hole is an important spot, but 9 is for CPM.
The only problem is less at bats.
The top of the order obviously gets more at bats.
He should stay and get his numbers up.
I'm not sure he can as he's been given opportunity and can't hit.
He does have a good arm, but his receiving skills are not great.
Before I get jumped on, I said receiving, not blocking.
There is hype, but I can't imagine a scout would go by hype.
It's stats right now and he does not have great ones.
If I had to guess I would say 12-14 round. A team will take a chance as he's a catcher and work on his hitting.
Catchers are a premium, but not if they cannot hit over .200 at the collegiate level.
He will be facing premium pitching daily in the minors.
3 or 4 but won't go past 5
Possibly late second

First rounders get millions
GD does not have the track record

If I'm wrong good for him, but I'll be shocked.

He can be fined, but I don't see it happening.

Spurrier did not get fined, but it was mentioned at the time as a possibility.
It's one game unless it's post game and then it's the following game.
The conference can impose a longer suspension if they deem necessary.
More to it, but this is the quick answer.
right......
Just wrong to do this to the kid

What college baseball coach has won the most games over the last 5 years? Or, the last 9 years? Who is the only college baseball coach whose team has been a top 8 national seed every year for the last 5 consecutive years?

If you believe that only by winning the CWS prevents a coach from being "underwhelming" you're going to believe that 294 teams are underwhelming every year.

This is the point and we only have one CWS title to show for it.
And we can't get there some years when we should have been-Stonybrook and Houston just to name a few.

I know from your post you are a big CPM supporter, but it all comes from the top down in any business and belive me this is a business for CPM.
If I had employees in a business and they kept getting close but couldn't close the deal they would eventually be terminated.
His insecurities are going to be his demise in the end.
Hire a competent hitting coach and stop bringing in former players with no experience except they were great players at LSU.

I'm not questioning what he's accomplished, but CPM's decisions are not working any longer, so he needs to figure it out or lose his job.

While I somewhat agree DH is a different animal.

I will agree it is a different mentality to be the DH.
It seems Beau has been the most productive, but PM will not give the job to one person for any length of time.
One bad game and he changes it.
I just wish he would give someone a shot at it and see what happens.

Someone needs to step up and take the DH role. CPM isn't going to just give it to anybody until they just take it and hit for consecutive weeks. One bad game and he will try someone else. Don't really know if that is a right or wrong approach but it is the approach.

Wrong approach
Any player can have one bad game

It's all gut instinct........

How does gut instinct fueled by observing the player's tendencies over a period of time in practice,(I'm confident that you have done that) followed by similar observations in game situations work for you?

It doesn't work for me.

Wouldn't that qualify as data?

I agree with Kim Jong.
Game performance is more important and useful data.

What positions?

LF and DH
Right
Gut instinct over data.......
And performance of players over the years.
The revolving door on certain positions is all gut too I'm sure

re: Why is there so much hate for Alleva?

Totally agree
Maybe say it a little differently, but ditto

Alleva needs to go.

He is injured from what I hear and in extended.
Hopefully he can start playing again soon.
He's not selling medical equipment or insurance.
