Roger any other ideas in Ketchikan? The wife is not musch of a fisherman... :banghead:

In Juneau we are flying to Taku Lodge and having a salmon feast (12:00-4:30pm). We looked at taking a shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier and hiking a little since the boat doesn't leave until 9:00pm. I just don't know if we have enough time?

Lastly in skagaway we are doing the White Pass Railway but any other suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks so much for you input :usa:

Thanks everyone. Ok so we are staying at the Moda Hotel downtown which seemed to be conveniently located to the cruise ship terminal. Based on the suggestions it looks like we'll spend some time in Stanley Park and I've good things about Granville Island Market as well. Is it worth it? Any continued restaurant suggestions will be appreciated.

Flight gets in at 11am and planning on staying downtown since we are getting on a cruise ship the next day. Anyone have any tips on things to do? Thinking about a bike tour currently if the weather is nice?
Anyone have suggestions on where to stay in Seward or Homer? I checked out Lands End Resort in Homer already and it seems nice.

That would be great if you could get the name of that trail. We are planning to do a good bit of hiking depending on the weather.

Getting off the cruise ship on June 10th, 2016 and picking up a rental car. My wife and I plan on driving around the peninsula for a few days before flying out of Anchorage. Does anyone have experience here? I have read about the Spit in Homer, Kenai fjords National Park, Exit Glacier, etc. We are up for anything and want to see as much as possible. Thanks :usa:

Roger is it possible to see the lights during early/mid June? After getting off the ship in Seward I'm looking into possibly spending 3-4 days seeing the interior. Really thinking of getting a rental car and driving North to Denali, Talkeetna, etc. I'm also willing to go far north as Healy if the lights are visible. I'm guessing the more north you go the better the chances?

If we did rent a car in Anchorage and wanted to see the interior of the state what do you suggest we see in 3-4 days with a flight home from Anchorage?

Buying a Road Bike

Anyone here have experience in this area? I'm trying to get into triathlons and looking for a bike that would be reasonable for sprint/olympic races. I'm trying to spend between 300-400$ for a used bike or something from bikesdirect... Any help is appreciated.
