Not sure if Dupree is the type of X and O person CJJ is looking for although I like his passion. The bench was much more into the games last season and I believe it had to do with his energy. He was up and supporting the team almost every play.
I do know he has close ties with the Cleveland organization. Who knows. Maybe he couldn't turn it down for the chance to work with LBJ.
Thanks for some serious answers. I think it is hard to pinpoint. With all the media outlets available and the internet becoming such an important part of communication- I suppose kids now are not of the mindset to research for objective sources of information. It is easy to google a phrase and find the first official looking website to study. Someone mentioned being lazy and I would agree but it appears to be a different type of lazy than past generations who did not bother in their spare time to do anything in the form of education or planning or executing any sort of plan for anything.
Sorry people for even asking. I joined in March and haven't had a chance to follow things on TD. I guess someone new has some form of hazing period before they receive answers. I apologize for wasting your time.
Well believe it or not; I was upset with 1-9 but since I have been going to games since 1976 at 6 years old- I never thought we would ever be at a point where we could even play for a national championship. For me it was 58-3 against Florida at home.

I grew up with 8 win seasons toward the end of the 1970's and a roller coaster in the 80's. 7 to 10 wins and 1 to 7 losses. The 90's is when everything exploded 8 wins to 2 wins; being hopeful when a win against Arkansas in either 92 or 93 could have put us in a bowl with a 6-5 record; alas we couldn't stop the running game and loss 42-24 despite Chad Loup starting 13-13 passing. Plus a majority of the time I had to watch us in home purple. I suppose the most modern loss would be 1-9 but I would have to consider UAB when Booty was calling plays not in the playbook. At that point it did not look we were going to change but it seemed to change the next week against Tennessee and never looked back to the present. USC 79 was bitter but I was amazed at the student section packed following the game chanting "LSU, we're proud of you" and the players had more intensity and effort against a clearly superior talented opponent.
“Nobody knew this was coming,” she said. “We just thought he was a lazy, this-generation kind of kid.”

Above is a quote I found from an article interviewing the mother of Dylann Roof. It was the final line of the article and she did express grief and sympathy toward the victims. To me, she was attempting to understand his actions and describing her perception. I am just curious; what does everyone consider characteristics of 'this-generation kind of kid'.

Please do not turn it into a racial thing. Just keep it general. I am new here and not some sort of troll or journalist writing an article. I just want opinions from folks who are anonymous and more likely to speak their version of the truth.

Thanks in advance.
I am actually surprised they didn't target LSU because "they hate LSU". But with the Hernandez thing- I guess Florida was a very good target. I would imagine everyone has a contact with a lawyer who does this sort of thing as someone said earlier. At least the major conference schools. Doubt the service academies do but that's about it.
Thanks for the information about big baby davis. if uhigh was good enough for him I don't get the move by mays. is he a game changer like big baby was? maybe he has gotten a lot better this year. I guess things are different these days. does anyone know if it will change his # of star ranking? I don't even know if I have seen a star ranking on him in the national stuff.

anyway thanks again

"foh,foh,foh".........one of the greatest answers to a question from a reporter in sports journalism history.....
The coach at Findlay has strong ties to University of Texas; at least when Rick Barnes was there. So maybe it was just the coach- which means since he is now at Tennessee they might be a sleeper. Many good coaches have come and gone from UNLV since Tark and nobody has been able to duplicate his success. From what I have seen in AAU Mays is a real nice player but not a game changer.

Anyway I am new here as you can see by my # of posts. I was from Baton Rouge but just moved upstate so I don't get to follow Baton Rouge recruiting as much anymore.

Someone please refresh my memory...didn't Glen Big Baby Davis do the same thing for his senior year?
STOUT-

Thanks for finding the article. I am debating if I should get the book because there is a chance of course what the article is about are the best parts of the book and would be a waste to buy it.
The article I was talking about indicated he has a life sentence from the first trial. Has that changed?
First post for me- I have been following this entire story since I read a article on "wired" by Josh Bearman that details the entire saga from start to finish. Good read and a book is coming out about it in 2016. To the Silk road owner it was a libertarian political movement in addition to selling drugs. Also, one of the law enforcement officials (DEA I think) set up a sting and during the entire operation actually turned criminal- stealing bitcoins from a fake murder.

For some reason, I can't post the link to the article- so maybe someone else would be kind enough to get the article up: "The Rise and Fall of Silk Road" is the title. Also, it sort of is a primer about the 'dark internet' and actually shows how to set up on it for criminality using TOR.
