One thing is for sure. This staff loves signing QBs who are winners. Tons of state champions among our QB signees. Even multi-year.
Sounds like we signed the Juco CB from Tuscaloosa, Nick Sherman, today. 6'2" 190. I expect more programs are going to be signing more Jucos like Bama, Uga, and USCw are doing as long as the Pavia rule is in effect. I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) they'll all continue to have four years to play still? If so, that brought new life to the Jucos.
More info... former HS teammate of Wilkin Formby. This is his first year playing DB full time. Played mostly WR in HS and played WR in his first year of Juco ball.

He was a terrible locker room guy. Not sure if he's matured at Michigan, but the staff was happy to get him out.

Now it'll be Husky Harsin vs Russky Harsin for the next few years!

Scuttlebutt on the shitposting discord is that Aden Holloway has a very minor injury and won’t play tonight as a precaution
So we might be without 5 of our 13 scholarship players? The injuries are beyond tiresome at this point.

The general rule of thumb is that in a weak QB class, if you're even CLOSE to a first round grade, you should go. You'll wind up going in the first round. Teams aren't suddenly going to stop drafting QBs early... even in off years.
Yeah. I would imagine we would go get someone out of the portal (probably from a smaller school) that wouldn't mind coming in and being a backup. That's soon to be every team's dilemma. It won't just be our dilemma. Nobody is going to have a whole lot of experience behind their starter.
There's a chance they might work Russaw at ILB in the Spring. Also, Carroll will likely be at RT and not LT. Lloyd was recruited as a true LT type. William Sanders likely at C.
The hope is that Ty goes pro. We REALLY don't need the issue that would arise with him staying. Let's not kid ourselves. Not many are like Ty in their willingness to stay around for a few years before he got his shot. Russell would more than likely be gone. It's been said by some that I trust that we're hoping this is what happens (Ty going pro and Russell taking over... by the way, I'd guess Mack would go to Oregon State where I think he would shred the teams they go up against).

Finch is the only one that I believe our staff didn't want to lose. They wanted several slots for the portal. They'll have that now after a banner class. Good all the way around.

Neither of these guys is a major loss.
Those "in the know" and apparently our staff consider Finch a big loss. They're very high on Franklin's upside, though.
Losing Finch stinks. However, Franklin is the guy that Kenny King kept begging Roach to take months ago. Roach was only "so-so" on him then. He's had a big senior year (still raw as a cob and just scratching the surface of his potential). Someone I trust mentioned that Todd Bates (OU DL coach) is very high on him as well.
Speaking of Bates, I wish we would bring him home at some point.

He has an 83.5" (that's 6'11.5") wingspan. Gracious.
Whether it benefits my team or not, it's a shame that this is what it's come to. I realize that it's capitalism and I'm certainly not faulting the players, but it's a shame that college athletics has come to who has the most money.

I always thought that if he had a truly mobile QB that could run his system where he could dial up 3-5 designed QB runs (and also just to evade the pressure), his system could be absolutely lethal. The biggest weakness... at least on his latter teams... seemed to be that his QBs were absolute statues back there.

Anybody have the visitors list for this weekend? It's supposed to be an incredible list.

Dominate instead of dominant.
I was just talking to someone about this the other day. I honestly believe this is the most misspelled commonly used word in the world now. Their/there/they're, your/you're, and to/too/two have nothing on dominant/dominate. I see it misspelled about 10x more often than I see it spelled correctly.
re: SEC Office: 44% of the erroneous calls in the UGA/AU game went in Auburn’s favor

The worst call in that game was the make-up call that went against Uga immediately after the Kirby timeout fiasco. I can't remember if it was a holding or personal foul, but I just remember that whatever it was was completely ridiculous.

I've had a feeling we will come out flat as a pancake next week. Just gotta find a way to get the W and get to the bye week. I'm sure the team is exhausted getting through the first half of this gauntlet.
