the bottom of the big 12 is no worse and in fact better than the bottom of most other conference.
the big 12 went 3-0 vs the big 10 this year. iowa st. which couldn't win a single game in the big 12, went on the road and beat a .500 big 10 team Iowa that's going to a bowl game. with the east, we don't have room to talk about weak conferences this year

Don't everyone jump on me at once, at least count to 10 before you bring the heat. But maybe it's time we give the big 12 a call and offer to join along with byu. think about the advantages this would bring for a minute: Texas and OU will always want to play each other, so we would by default be in the opposite division from the 2 other powers. we would year in and year out be the favorite, big dog in our division. Plus, it opens the door to Texas recruiting more than we have ever imagined. Give Less enough cracks at the big 12 championship game and we'll be in the final 4 a hell of a lot more than we'll make it in the SEC. And we won't be at a scheduling disadvantage to bama anymore, but would likely be at a scheduling advantage for a change.
Count to 10, then blast away

perhaps it's time for us to really consider a move. I know the knee jerk reaction is to throw up on this idea, but stop and think about this idea for a minute before you cuss me out.
The big 12 just were told their lack of a championship game might have cost them millions of dollars by being left out of the party, though it is clearly a much tougher league than the big 10. if LSU were to leave for the big 12 and be joined by another team, say BYU or Cincinatti, though it could be anyone then the big 12 could divide back into two 6 team divisions. Since ou and texas will always play themselves, that would by default put us in the other division. we would go from getting screwed every year to being the dominant team in our division.
In addition to suddenly being placed in a much better competitive environment in terms of making it to the play off, we would also have the doors to Texas recruiting suddenly open even wider than they currently are. we would be arguably a better program, and a favorite to make a championship game every year. Count to 10 at least before you flame me.
