Doesn't he have a history of losing big games? That 4th quarter up by 14 loss to Miss St got him fired from Ole Miss, and then the loss to UCLA knocked him out of consideration for the USC job...He got shut out at home this year by Bama and then made some horrible calls in the Florida game. Hopefully he will just have to stand on the sideline and cheer instead of being faced with any major game altering decisions. He did beat Stanford at USC though, so he's definitely qualified for the job.

oh I thought it was about a jaded opinion that LSU is a top 10 coaching job. My bad. On the topic of Tim Fletcher, I listen to the show occasionally and don't see ESPN or Fox calling him anytime soon, but I think he is a good fit for this market. If you don't like it, don't listen. That said I definitely don't think he's done anything bad enough to be called a goon on this forum.

You think LSU is a top 10 job lol, or do you think that "top ten jobs" (however you quantify that) shouldn't be based on salary? There are definitely at least 10 more prestigious coaching jobs than LSU.
Yeah I obviously didn't watch a running back from Wisconsin rush for ab 100 and a receiver catch over a hundred.

You don't need Briles or Herman to beat Bama. What's the old cliche "Defense wins championships". In 03 they gave up more than 19 points one time the entire season.
