But Julio is an Alabama native. I can totally understand him playing for his home state school. After he finishes football, the rest of his life is Gravy so to speak assuming he does not to anything off the field to mess his life up. Best I can tell, NFL success has not gone to his head and he seems to be a level headed guy who has his act together. He settles in Alabama after NFL, he can do well economically leveraging his Alabama playing days into business opportunities. If I am an Alabama car dealership, or bank, etc, Julio does ads for me when he is done and of course Julio Makes lots of money for those businesses using him to market their products.

JKC, I suspect that most 4 and 5-star players think they have a NFL career in their future (even though statistically that isn't the case) so they don't heavily weigh their post-football opportunities in their home state vs another state in their decision-making process. Thanks for the reasonable discussion.
"You think Bama is clean? Simple question. Yes or no.

If no, you think they are cleaner than anyone else?"

Doc, I honestly do think they're as clean as any other program. I think when he first got to Bama, his previous success at LSU helped his recruiting (plus the fact he's one of the top recruiters in the sport). After the first few years though, the success recruits itself. Think about it, any player he recruited at LSU or Alabama won a National Championship if they stayed the maximum 5 years (that's for the 2003 and 2007 players at LSU, it's more like if they stay 3 years since he's been at Bama). Most players are looking at Championships and NFL Draft prospects when they choose a school and think where can I get both; doesn't take a bagman to get players when you consider those 2 factors. Like he told Julio, "we'll win with you or without you."

"So 2003 championship will be gone?:

Yep, and 2007 as well, 2007 team still had some players that would be rendered ineligible in the alternate reality the OP lives in.
