I was stunned they went with Emory Jones to start the year. Whats up with the back-up?

Lost my son a week ago today who was a student at LSU. I can tell you as a parent it is debilitating. It is a club no parent should be a part of. My heart goes out to that family. It’s something I still don’t know how to get past it and they will struggle with this for a long time. Everyone please go love on your kids. They are all a parent truly has.

Sorry for your loss. God bless.
God love em man. 20 years old? I can't imagine.

Jones isn’t NFL ready. We’ll all be watching.

Sad to see grown men shite on kids because their favorite college football team sucks. What frustrated shite show must your life be like my dude?

It must burn your arse that after a once in a lifetime season, with gene chizik 2.0 at the helm, you had to watch your biggest "rival" surpass that season in every way whilst crushing everyone in their path to 6 titles out of 11 seasons. It's gotta sting bro. I get it
I actually agree with the state guys. Will they win a league title? Probably not. Is it a good equalizer? Yes. They'll definitely be competitive, and QB recruits will jump on board. Who wouldn't? Leach is a good coach, and Tennessee will regret not hiring the guy years ago.
Never watched college basketball before last year huh?

Ehh. I love shitting on LSU as much as the next guy, but let em enjoy it. They should feel good. That offense was extremely impressive Saturday. What they run, 60 plays? Good luck holding on to that passing game coordinator or whatever he is. This def doesn't have anything to do with that mummy up in the booth.
If you're going to open Pandora's box, throw the players a bone on top of their scholarship. Player likeness is professional sports. We're talking about millions, agents, marketing. It's not an easy problem to solve. I'm usually on the "scholarship is your pay" wagon, but the schools and networks are making millions off of play on the field. I still say college football would make money regardless of who is playing. But it wouldn't be this lucrative.

There is no reason Arkansas should EVER be as bad as they are right now. They're in a great position to recruit Texas and Louisiana. They have good tradition and they have a lot of wealthy donors. I don't get it. Of course, Tennessee shouldn't be this bad either so.
I agree. The defense is good, but that offense isn't going to get it done this year. Should be around 15 or so. Def not top 10.
I get the feeling this dude wanted to "show out" in his first game since he didn't take the obvious job at Alabama. A lot of eyes on him, and they laid an egg, but the freshman QB didn't. He played well when he had time, but they gave up like 10 sacks. Pretty shitty to lay this on a first time starting freshman. What a douche.
Words... A Capitol offense!
The only thing I've ever heard about this guy is he was talented but a constant problem. He's coming into his junior year, and he hasn't recorded any stats. That should tell you where he was on the depth chart. As much mop up duty as Alabama had last year, he should have been in there. This is no surprise, and not a great loss. Even if he was named the starter he wouldn't have stayed on the field.
For Alabama in the last few cycles it's Ben Davis. I don't think he ever sees the field.
He's way more athletic than Sam Bradford on his best day. I am starting to question his durability. He's perpetually injured it seems.
You're right. I can't remember the last hot Alabama softball player. It's like they only recruit fugglies.

I don't believe this. Today in college football you can no longer have a high profile backup and expect him to not run your full offense. Saban and Dabo figured this out. All Kirby had to do was have Fields do more than hand the ball off and run designed QB runs. Kirby mishandled the situation because he did not want a QB controversy and it looks like Kirby wasn't concerned with having the best QB playing. And, I say it looks like Kirby wasn't concerned about having the best QB playing because if both QBs are running the full offense it will become clear who is better. Kirby simply didn't adjust to the new reality in college football.

Too much shade is being thrown Kirby's way on this situation. Fields thought he could beat out Fromm. Kirby isn't going to turn down the #1 recruit in the country because he already has a starter. Maybe he thought he could juggle a Hurts Tua scenario. But it's clear Kirby had to play the kid. He wasn't going to sit for a red shirt. Also, I don't think the kid is good enough to handle the playbook. Dude had plenty of snaps all year. It's unfortunate, but big time QB recruits expect to be Tua, Jalen or Fromm. If they don't progress, they blame the staff and bail. Fields could have stayed with his commitment. I mean, it's no secret what type of offense Georgia runs. He chose to go there because he's blown out on his own hype. Why go to Georgia in the first place? I can think of 10 schools that would have been great fits for him, and he chose the pro style offense with no proven QB coach, with a solidified soph starter! That's on him. I think the dude is a total bust anyway. He can't read the field, and he doesn't look comfortable looking off his primary reciever. He isn't even as good as Jalen was as a freshman. He fizzles out at OSU.
