Know how I know you've never spent any time on the gulf coast?

1. 80 degrees is not a big deal for anyone in WI during summer
2. Nearly every day in mid to late August hits 90% humidity in WI

So what exactly is so foreign that only UW won't be able to cope? Especially INSIDE a close arena?

Doesn't matter. Their entire front 7 is new

They have 1 FR in the front 7 starting. Not new.

If SC won by 10 lat year I won't be shocked if we win by 2 TDs.

Because when has the transitive property ever been wrong? Especially comparing two different seasons..

48-17. LSU jumps up big.

You'd jump higher in the rankings with a closer win. Blow a ranked team out week 1 and people will just assume they were overrated. Win a close, battle of a game and that's the ticket to the top 8.
Based on all the stat cherry-picking it's amazing that anyone here thinks so highly of Gurley, who did next to nothing against anyone of note last season.

21 carries for only 91 yards against NORTH TEXAS
30 carries for only 132 yards against that piss poor USCe run D?
21 carries for just 86 yards against slow/weak B1G Nebraska?

Dude must be a schmuck

No wonder you think playing Tempe during the evening is on the same level with playing in Houston or the deep south in August at any time.

It's humid as hell up here in summer, and since the weather looks like it'll be in the 80s that won't be a big deal at all.

Most Div 1 schools have mammoth OL. Ours are huge and athletic. Wisconsin's are mainly just huge.

What makes you say that exactly?

A lot of UW's schemes require the guards to pull and you absolutely need to be athletic and quick to do that well. And they do it well.

Unless I misunderstood your post and you think people are being scared off by the QB Wisconsin named.

Definitely agree. With Stave you knew what you were getting and knew that our offense would be run extremely well, with INTs being the only possible detriment.

With McEvoy you have no idea how he'll react to the opportunity. He's played in big games, but on the other side of the ball. The only people who I know that haven't lost at least some confidence are the ones who don't know anything and believe we now have Cam Newton starting at QB. A lot of UW fans did not understand or respect the good things that Stave did.

what's the over looking like? still 50?

I sure hope that's what comes out, I'd take that over all day, probably up to 58.
The kid is a true freshman, and he is quick as hell on the field. He's a playmaker and that's why he won the job, but being so young it won't surprise me to see some missed assignments.

While I don't agree with all that he said, it sounds like our defense has some attitude this year. It's nice to see. UW lost a ton of vets, but the guys stepping in are almost all faster and more athletic than what we've seen in the past.

I disagree. LSU's qb question mark isn't as bad as theirs. Both LSU qbs are extremely good

This is basically crazy talk. Stave is something like 19-3 in games he's started. If he hadn't gone down vs South Carolina, UW probably wins that game. McEvoy is a bit of an unknown, but he's been in big time games, is huge, athletic, and mature.

re: Where are the badger fans?

First post, and like myself I know plenty of Badger fans that simply choose to not engage in the conversation/sign up for the website. I finally caved.

I have a feeling Wisconsin will have more fans at the game than most expect. I'd be there if not for a wedding my wife is the maid of honor in. I'm actually skipping the rehearsal dinner to watch the game. People up here are all very pumped for the game, most just don't bother with online message boards.. And you have to admit this time of year, while exciting, is pretty painful on message boards. One can only make so many predictions.
