Here’s my hope:

Gotta respect Silverfield’s path. He paid his dues. He’s been position coach for multiple positions, but most notably OLine, which is key.

This is his big chance and I personally think he’s done a lot right. Details, intensity…both key thinks that we’re missing last year in our multiple one score losses.

It won’t happen instantly. We still have a talent deficit…but I think we surprise a few this year. Give him the $$ resources and he may pull off a turnaround.

Long term…here’s how it plays out.

Greed will (has) kill(ed) college football as we know (knew) it. The goose that has been laying golden eggs will die and college football will split into NFL g leagues with little to no meaning at the so called top level. NFL teams will literally buy college programs via the private equity door that’s already been opened.

The lower division colleges will form a new governing body and we will basically start over with the likes of Morehouse State and North Dakota State being all that’s left.

Rumor is that the extension was part of a big money flow into the baseball program. As close as they are almost every year, won’t take much more to cement the dynasty.
Likely the worst post in Rant history. Certainly top 5. Those are facts.
If I recollect….offensive oroduction was not the issue,

That defense couldn’t slow down a turtle.
Arkansas 31 Choklahoma 6 ‘78 Orange Bowl

Arkansas’ National Championship blowout of OU with 3 star players suspended by Lou Holtz.
In effect, they already have….its just not organized private equity yet.
I say we just secede from the union again. Well…those of us that did it last time anyway. Not sure we’d miss the 2 damn yankee teams anyway..

Cleans up a lot and we don’t hafta deal with World Cup soccer.

Along with,…Michigan, Had to have one slave and one free state enter at the same time,
The first segmentation of the human population is to separate them into two groups. One shits and smears it around, the other shits and washes it off.

Once you do a bidet you never go back. Besides….if you’re lucky you’ll be 85 with arthritis and unable to reach your butthole…..ijs.
It would be truly scary if Lane was half as good as he thinks he is.
You can’t fall off the floor.

That about sums it up.

Arkansas too high.
Jon Brittenum…ie “Quarterbackin Man” died in 2022.

I do have some expectations all based upon Silverfield’s teams at Mamphis.

I expect us to be well coached and play hard. We won’t beat ourselves very often. Our D line will not need chocolate icing like the cupcakes we’ve sometimes had up there. O line play will also be mostly free of stupid mistakes. This is what Silverfield should be accountable to.

All that said, we will be at a talent deficit in all but two, maybe three of our games. That deficit will be a chasm against 3-4 teams on our schedule. These things are not Silverfields to own…yet.

He flipped a few good freshmen…portal effort seems ok, but not good enough to catch up. I don’t see much chance of this program being resurrected unless college football migrates to a promotion and regulation system like the premier soccer league uses. Then we will be a tier 2 powerhouse.

The talent in Fayetteville looks sick.

Meanwhile in Lexington…
