Hundreds of texts with a reporter…including several before games and at halftime. Never fully confirmed but painfully obvious.

Arkansas wins 8 and Silverfield is SEC COY.
Hard fact is that DJ Wagner is better than anyone we're likely to attract/afford.

I'd rather see us invest in a couple nasty bigs and let these very talented guards work together. Three all american level 2/3 guys should be just fine without a 'true' PG. Once we have bigs, sure...try for a solid PG if you want.

Earlier I posted that Cal will use resources for guards first then bigs. That equals a really fun team to watch and a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 loss every year when we run into teams with a frontcourt.
Pitiful and embarrassing.

We are tier 2 in all ways now.

Yeah. No comfort in getting thrashed by the best team. We prefer doing the thrashing.
I’ll stand by my statement. Cal prioritizes guards. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t want big guys like Pete….just means he will always allocate whatever resource it takes to land the top guard then do his best to get the bigs,

It’s not terrible, but it will result in us facing better bigs in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 every year.

Can't spend all the money on guards, going to ante up a little more inside.

This man speaks the truth. Sadly Cal’s approach has long been to get the best guards in the nation and to build a supporting cast around them. He’s not likely to change and we aren’t likely to advance past Elite 8 with no interior defense.

Acuff is generational…but he’s not much of a defender in anyone’s world.

Much respect to Tramon Mark.

Good run for Texas. Miller will lose sleep over taking Big V out at the end.
And just to be clear...that A ain't for Alabama.
Y’all paid Booogie a small fortune not to be the 4th guard at Arkansas. Nice move.
Arguing over whether the best college today is better than a guy from 20 years ago is pointless and silly. If you played 20 years ago or more you realize the continuing improvement in athleticism and raw skills makes it an entirely different game today.
Hogs may run out of players.
Hogs need to get back to running when it’s there, but taking our time and getting the ball in the paint when it’s not.

This is one team we do NOT want to play rat ball with. Don’t take the cheese!
Cmon Hogs. Jump all over them and never let them even sniff hope.

High Point is dangerous.

Great idea, most recent sweet 16 appearance. I will create a new thread for you

I can explain the difference in total vs most recent, but fear it is likely pointless….

He seems to be doing everything at a high standard. That should pay off given time.

Please don’t get me started on the 3 second lane violation.

But I'm old-school enough to believe that the tournament is still won by guard play, and that one guy going unconscious can almost cover any deficiency you have.

Acuff sez hey.
