I would have thought they'd have had postings around campus for this, doesn't seem like it could have been thrown together last minute. In fact, I was hoping you, as the resident Tulane student, could have shared more info on this. D'oh!

Neil deGrasse Tyson at Tulane

I know with his Cosmos show making a splash, it could be hard to find a seat, especially since its free. How many OTers plan on making this? I'm pissed I can't attend and I'd like cliffs afterward. :bang head:

TIA

Watched my brother cross the finish line and hung out for awhile for IM NOLA. He's a lil upset with his 5:30:58 time. About 16mins slower than his previous time. Heat slowed him down on the run.

Very much so. Bout to head out that way. :usa:
I've visited Denmark, albeit for a day. Pretty country from what little I saw, but who knows if its real. Like your avatar, "It was real to me, dammit!"

this is a thing now.

Is it really? If so this is sad. My buddy has daughters growing up watching the Disney Princesses stuff, wearing the dresses and all kinds of crap. I told him that may be a bad path to go down. ha. I don't know what the bitches excuses are that I used to date though. Like they're worth it, or something.

THIS. In fact, its too beta to ask her to go. You tell her she's coming with you.
Your right, facts don't matter.

I'd say it is. Road bikes very seldom have gear switches on the aero bars.
That nonsense slogan is just used as a marketing tool.

Last year FQF broke its ONE DAY attendance record on Sat with 303,000. Strawberry fest is said to come close to that on a good year, TOTAL. But comparing it to FQF's 550,000+ over four days just shows how lacking LA's education is in the mathematics department.

i've heard that its the 2nd largest free festival in the South behind Mardi Gras

FALSE.

You're thinking french quarter fest.
Friday- Get damn taxes done, wash and oil change the cars, all you can eat crawfish for dinner.

Saturday-french quarter fest

Sunday-french quarter fest

*house/dog sitting for a bro in the WHD all three days. Free parking and use of his condo stocked with beer was payment enough. :pimp:
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for improvements in drainage and infrastructure and building a better NOLA. But christ, the timelines and lack of synergy with government offices and/or forethought on projects is insane! So much coin wasted on jobs done two and three times over is what pisses me off.

S. Claiborne, which needed repaving since the pilgrims, finally got it in 2011 from Earhart to Carollton. Then, 6 or so months later, they start tearing it up. WTF. Sometimes it seems like welfare for some of these companies, at the expense of the taxpayer, because of the stupidity of those in office. Another prime example is the widening of I-12, which included a taller concrete barrier, between the Hwy 11 exit and the I-12/10/59 junction RIGHT after the safety cable type barricades were installed. :bang head: /Rant

Was in an elevator that started falling at a paper mill I worked at in college. It fell 5 floors. The emergency brakes caught it on the 3rd floor and no harm done. I just back into one of the corners and braced to hit. One of the scariest moments of my life.

I could almost add this to the list. Other than yourself, what was it carrying? Do know where the hoist motor was located?
Well, of course he's just trying to use his age to get out of it.

I'd say Pakistani problems, but I could see this nonsense going down here.
Almost every time a politician opens his/her mouth.

Second only to, "I'm not a whore like the other girls. I'll never cheat on you." As well as, "Don't believe what you read about me on the internet. Thats not really who I am." Not surprisingly, by the same girl. :banghead:
Some bastard in the pen is giving his corn hole a break stamping these out at $.25 an hour.

Really? I have more pressing things to think about. Like how they're driving like an arsehole.
Having grown up with a dog in the house, having two after college, and sharing one with the ex (got it together, but it was hers) I can see how people grow attached and consider it part of the family. But at that price to fix up, I'd be hard pressed not to say my goodbyes and pick another one up. Having memories to hold on to are nice, but going through command learning, potty training, and other acclimations with a puppy to keep you busy, tend to make letting go, for lack of a better word, easier.
According to my FB feed the past couple of days, it seems its ONLY grown men watching wrestling. haha
Like EVERYONE has said, this thread title is misleading. Ha.

I used to know Tom Benson's grandson pretty well. Back when he owned the Voodoo, I used to get calls all the time to attend the game in the owner's box. One game, a frick ton of Saints players/coaches came. Got to meet S. Payton and a couple others. Pretty cool, but what was alright was once it was too crowded, Tom told his GS, 'T, why don't you and your friend go to the seats to watch the game.' Seats were on the 25 yard line on the rail.

I know the drill….. TL;DR.

This. Because it sure isn't going to last more than once coming from there. But their selection of crap is huge. If not them, try Grainger.
